God have i caused up roar , ha ha , i only said Rafa was gonna go the match, an as far as im concerned i dont think he would be disrepectful at all, past managers have attended games, no problem .
Roy is getting the results the fans want , were winning , If the fans can accept the man who sold us down the river sitting there , then surely it shouldnt be a problem for a man who done and tried his best for the fans when he was here. Look i know hes never gonna come back as anything official at the club , but as a fan and a resident of across the water , in my eyes he should be allowed to when ever . Why does it have to be in a couple of years , does he have to wait until Roy has gone, before he can go the game, What happens if Alladyce or GOD FOR BID Mourinho comes here , he never got on with any of them either , i just cant see what the problem is if he goes to a game ,

Ben i never liked Terry i liked Barry , ha ha

you know what. when the camera panned to xabi alonso in the crowd the other night i didn't recognise him at all, thought it was some old bloke to be honest. if rafa comes to the game maybe he should do the same.... wear a burka or something... or some other cunning disguise. maybe even a corset?  :oh:  :D  (sorry)

see what you mean but its just not the same.

I did feel the same weird feeling.

And to be honest IF Rafa is there i wont feel anything.
I just think its far too soon and tbh nanny and Bav your reactions with the  :;):  show it would divide the fans.

So if the man had an ounce of thought to what would be best for LFC he would wait a while longer.

I agree with Nan, he should get a good reception, didn't Houlier get one just yesterday?  there's no problem with Rafa coming to Anfield, he said it's like a home to him, well let's give him a welcome return
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

if it was next season i would agree.
The fact that so many want him still here means he shouldnt be there.
But he has an ego like big sams head so will be there.

I see your point ben, but I don't think he will be undermining anyone, if he wants to come to a game as a fan fair enough, its his choice, I don't think he is being disrespectful in anyway.

Its this bit that gets me. Those who miss Rafa are the ones who cannot see what is wrong with him attending.

There is unrest at the moment, and yes despite a few good results and performances, the unrest is still their. Look at the Villa match thread. Even now there is the "Aston Villa were awful" responses, rather than the "Liverpool were brilliant" ones, take the West Ham match, it wasnt down to Liverpool being good, it was, once again, down to West Ham being awful. And until the end of the season, when we can see what is what, the doubt will remain as long as Roy is in charge.

And this is the problem we have with rafa attending a Liverpool match. We all know full well that that in itself could cause rifts, and if rafa does attend, then Ben will be proven right. It is his ego that warrants his attendance. It is too soon since his departure, and we all know it.

I don't want Rafa back, not even one bit, but I fail to see why its disrespectful for him to go watch a team he supports play

Well said mate ....I will personally be shouting his name for as long and as loud as these lungs can muster ...the man deserves a great reception and if he's sitting in  Anfield the Kop will deliver  precisely that .....make no mistake about that

If last season could be explained such distractions, then you would expect to see Inter at the top of the league - or certainly a lot bleedin' closer - and also top of their CL group. That isn't so, and it proves that there is and was a problem with Rafa's management. If it is ever the right time to bring Rafa back, that time is not now, or indeed any time soon.

agree with that statement
