For me results have to come and they have to come NOW.  It's been long enough injuries or no injuries we shouldn't be where we are atm and if it continues and we don't climb up the table before this month is over he has to go before the Jan window opens.

Whatever we may think of journalists, whether it be just rumours or hard facts they're hearing, many do have more insight, via their access to players and staff, to whats going on behind the scenes than most of us fans.

In the last edition of the "Sunday Supplement" the journo's reckoned Roy's not likely to be replaced in the Jan window but doubt very much that he'll be at LFC for the start of next season. It also flags up the fact that if Roy's destined to take a long walk of a short pier it's unlikely that he'll be given funds to buy players in the Jan window unless Comoli see's them as assets an incoming manager could use.

I would prefer to replace him sooner rather than later but I guess we'll have to wait even longer to see the club make the long awaited climb back to the top.  Roy has done okay at times, bad in others but in the end I don't think he has the ambition needed to take us where we want to go and I don't think he has the confidence in himself to manage us back to the top.  He's never experienced anything like it and to be frank at the ripe age of 63 you are what you are, and he isn't a winner.  Not trying to be an anti Roy or whatever, I'll applaud him when he does well but still, he isn't up for the challenge that lies in front of him.

just about sums it up.

It sums up what a terribly run club Newcastle continue to be yes.

Exactly, saying we'd rather be like Newcastle sacking a manager so early is disgraceful. Newcastle are an absolute laughing stock for what theye done, and i know  alot of people would love to see them go down now.

e have a little more class than that

Well done Roy.. another game where we look like we have improved.

If we can start winning some away games, which I think we will with a bit of luck, then hopefully people will give Roy a chance and judge him at the end of the season..
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

But Hodgson can. A few games this season we have looked brilliant, and other games not so.

The players have to be hold accountable for poor performances as well as the manager. Take spurs. We lost because Torres and Maxi couldn't handle being one on one with the keeper. We had the chances, but it was down to the players as to why we lost. The same as to why one week we can look really good and the next so bad.

I have seen more good performances from Liverpool in the short season thus far as I did all of last season.

Roy deserves some credit, even from the most devout Hodgson haters, look at Lucas, whatever Roy is doing with him is working a treat. He looks a totally different player this season compared to previous ones.

Just to add also, his public dressing down of Glen Johnson also seems to have worked. Since Roy slated him, Johnson has shown some sort of form. Of course that is not mentioned, but another plus for Roy as far as I am concerned.

i agree his man management skills seem to be having the desired affect on certain players.

Credit where it's due, he's giving certain players a chance, like Maxi and Babel etc and certainly seems to be getting more out of them too, you can add Lucas to that too, he's imporved tenfold. Obviously he's got to get the best out of all his players and continue to play the type of football we served up against Villa tonight if he wants his tenure to last longer than a season.

Also noticed that he brought Kuyt off for Cole, which meant J.Cole played wide right - apparently though the 'facts' people told us Joey chose where he wanted to play and Roy obliges and rolls over and gives him 'player power'. :;):
