All the very top teams visited Anfield and they were all sent back tail between legs .... we were feared by the cream of Europe once more ....and if that's the only legacy he left us with its a damn fine one ...... and it needs to be accepted and not just dismissed ....the man gave us no.5 in the greatest european final ever witnessed ,and I will cherish those memories and not just throw them aside like a jibbed Girlfriend ...... Fucking absolute travesty how their exists no respect for his achievements (especially on this forum ) ..................

I am one of those who didn't give Benitez all the credit for the 2 cups we won in his tenure.

I think he's the best manager we've had since Dalglish and certainly better than Roy to date but no... I don't worship the ground he walks on and no.... I don't think he's as good as RBG thinks. In fact, I think he's over-rated.

But that's ok... I don't mind being thought of as being "less knowledgeable". I most certainly can live with that.... difference of opinion and it's a free country.

Probably the phrase I used regarding being "feckin off your rocker to want him back" or something to that effect, was ill phrased. Either that or I should have put a smiley at the end of the line to soften it a little and reduce the chances of twisting someone's tits..... though why it would, I have no idea. Forgot how sensitive people can be over the choice of words.
