It's a big if mate and it will be the most important question . He has to learn from today's game - if he does that then we might well get up the table . I'm just worried that we will have more steps forwards followed by steps backwards .

hes been learning, and that list of games we got coming up... you gotta want maximum points from all of them... if we dont do well, then we need massive change, if we do real well in them games, roy deserves the season to proove himself, thats how i see it.. the next 6 or so games are masive for him to proove he can do it

Can't disagree at all Dawson - if he wins the majority of those games and we move up the table then yeah he will deserve to see how the season goes . The return of gerrard will be interesting as I wonder where he will play him and Merieles , hopefully he better keep merieles in the middle now .

Fair do's the manager was spot on with his tactics and formations ...but if he had employed similar tactics and the team had played in the same manner in some of the away games we lost this season ,then I don't think the divide in opinions would be so great ...
simple as that really ...anyway long may the managers bravery in picking an attacking formation continue ....  so credit where credit is due
now he only needs to  quell  these silly press statements he consistently makes ,  and I and many others wont have a relevant argument to giving the fella some time

Should win six of our next seven and things will look better. The team needs pace putting into it. Wingers and cb with pace. A midfield guy to partner Raul . A strong box to box player. I'd like Martinez, Cahill , Johnson , turan and I'd have a punt on cassano or elmander till end of season. Then purchase hazard or hulk in the summer. Good effort just not enough class in the whole team

Just got in from the pub, I think every red was in in agreement today that that was our best away performance of the season and the 2 midfielders Meriels and lucas looked very good together.

We need to move forward from here though,

We won't keep the consistency that other teams have with the squad in depth that our team have. We really in need of good players who can do the job, add with some quality additions up front and in the back to improve our first 11. Torres and Ngog are our only 2 strikers in the team and its an embarrassment, usually a squad should have at least 4.

Roy has to buy well, He needs to buy the right players and address our weaknesses and if he doesn't we will have more of those blackpool games again.
