I would too, for the rest of this season anyway.  Let's face it, that's all he was brought in for anyway.  Kind of pointless to constantly snipe at him and call for his head now as we would just end up where we were back in June.  Anyone worth having is currently employed elsewhere and would likely not want to leave mid-season.

If Roy was sacked what options are there?  Well KK could be put in as a caretaker and then a permanent replacement could be brought in in the summer.  That would make 4 managers in 12 months.  Doesn't exactly speak of stability does it?

Keep Roy for the rest of the season.  Have Camolli bring in a couple of signings in January to increase the quality of the squad depth.  Try to finish top 4 and move on from there.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Its not all doom and gloom, only 2 teams have a better home team record over the entire season (chelsea and manure) and only ONE team has a better record over the last 6 games (manure got 14 pts, we got 13)

It really isnt all that bad, and we're still getting into the swing of things

I think that's going to be the worst case scenario, and lets be fair, it isn't that bad.

I'm confident that Roy will get us a top 6 finish....maybe even top 4 if he gets a couple of players in. However, if he doesn't, then keep him and spend the next 6 months finding a long term replacement.

Bringing in KK wouldn't work on so many levels and i'd rather see us do it properly, instead of changing the manager every 6 months like Newcastle use to.

At the risk of getting slaughtered here... I still think Roy will come good. You are right he has done well in the past both overseas and in this country. His skills seem better suited to turning the underdog into a force to be reckoned with, but I believe he can balance that up here by working miracles with a genuine top 4 contender. True, he has displayed a certain level of tactical nous over the opening half of his tenure, but of late he is starting to get it right on and off the pitch. I have first hand knowledge of what it was like to deal with our previous owners - and I would say that the chaos they were causing behind the scenes when he arrived MUST have had a detrimental effect to all those around. It is no coincidence that now a new broom is sweeping through so the results and the on field performances are improving. Give him more time and watch what he does in January. If we are still falling away come February fell free to find this post and slag me off.

When Roy first took over, we certainly went backwards.  We were poor in nearly every area and rightly in the relegation zone.

But lately we seem to have got back to last years level.  We are playing well and scoring goals at home but dropping lots of points away.  We won a big game and then dropped 5 points to Stoke and Wigan.

Our home record last year was actually really good so the challenge now is to keep that up and improve away from home.

Good post, you make a lot of sense.

We need to give Roy time to get his way of working from the training pitch into real games.  There has been a big improvement in the last couple of weeks and although we still have planty of room for improvement we are finally going in the right direction.

In all honesty a properly qualified answer to the question "Is Roy going to be good for LFC" can not be reached until the end of the first season.

He wasnt my first choice to be our manager (not even my 2nd if Im honest) but in my 30+ years of following Liverpool I have and will always give the new guy a chance to prove himself, be that a player or a manager. It is the Liverpool way!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

When, and against who? Don't say West Ham or Blackburn, please, and I think Chelsea's form is showing of late. I'll give it until the next away game for everyone to be brought back down to earth....again.

They really don't make any sense.  And it doesn't matter if you've the best home record in the league thus far, nevermind 3rd if you haven't a clue how to win away from home, now does it? The teams above us are hardly on great form either, not to mention we've played some absolute dross at Anfield in the season so far, with the acception of Chelsea and Arsenal. I'm not talking about performances either, which is another thing, but the quality of the teams we've played. Like I say, with Roy, you're only as mediocre as your last home game. The away games are the reality of his tenure.

well not restarting a war but Roy could cure the flu and people would moan they still might get a cold.

hes doing ok.. hes making mistakes, but as the seasons going on we are getting better results and thats what we have to look at. Whilst other teams are fading away we need to take advantage.
