Kenny knows his football and aldo would get the lads motivated without a doubt.
Get a bit of fire back and get the tactics right, by that i mean keeping the football and dominating the possesion. The old Liverpool way.

Not sure about Aldo tbh mate

Why not ?

He did a decent job at Tranmere and played for us in one of the best sides i can remember.

Just have a feeling that maybe he is a bit too passionate and opinionated - if you know what i mean .

I wouldnt be totally against it as i know the lad is red through and through would just be a tiny bit worried and would prefer someone like Nicol or even Coyle or Di Matteo etc

scandalous if true.

Dani Pacheco wants to leave Liverpool

Dani Pacheco was told by Roy Hodgson that he would be included in his plans, and the fact that the Spanish youngster has spent three years at Anfield, qualifying him as a `home-grown` talent helped him secure a professional contract at Liverpool. However, after failing to be selected by Hodgson, Pacheco wishes to leave Liverpool. Real Sociedad had wanted to take Pacheco on loan last summer.

The kid will be gone soon enough anyways.  He has been totally alienated from the squad.

Just a shame cos he is one of our most talented youngsters.  We'll probably sign him for 30M in 3 or 4 years.

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. He isn't good enough, get what we can for him and move on.

Disagree mick, i think he is a good player that should be getting on late in games and the odd appearance here and there.
If he leaves he will be one that got away i think.

Arsenal's Wilshere, Liverpool's Pacheco and Mario Balotelli nominated for Golden Boy award
November 15, 2010

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere , Liverpool attacker Dani Pacheco and Manchester City's Italian striker Mario Balotelli are among the nominees for this year's 'Golden Boy' award.

The poll for the top young player in European football born after 1 January 1989, is organized by Italian daily Tuttosport. Thirty journalists from top European sporting media will decide which player has performed best over the calendar year.

Wilshere has established himself in the Arsenal team, while controversial figure Balotelli played his part in Inter Milan's treble success last season before securing a big money move to Manchester City. Liverpool's Dani Pacheco was one of the stars of last summer's European under-19 championship, finishing as the tournament's top scorer.

Other English-based players in the 40 nominees include Manchester United trio Federico Macheda, Bebe and Rafael, Chelsea's Gael Kakuta and Aston Villa's Nathan Delfouneso.

Past winners of the award include Barcelona's Lionel Messi (2005), Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney (2004) and Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas (2006).

Although Arsenal star Wilshere has made big strides this year, the favourites for the award are likely to include Anderlecht's star striker Romelu Lukaku and Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea, who helped his side win the Europa League.

The full list of nominees is as follows:

He's only 19 and up for the Golden Boy award.  Didn't he get the golden boot at that tournament during the summer.

He needs to get a chance.

Unfortunately or fortunately, not everyone is Lucas whereby they get two seasons of appearances to make their mark. Young players always make fleeting appearances, some come through and some don't.

In my opinion (obviously) Spearing, Shelvey, Pacheco and Ecclestone aren't and never will be good enough. Kelly on the other hand will.

But your judging Pacheco on what ?
Benny The Noon

Postby jacdaniel » Tue Nov 16, 2010 2:07 pm

Thats a harsh judgement to make when they're SO young.

Spearing, Darby and El Zhar will never make it.  They're 23 and they havent done yet so never will.  but shelvey, Eccelston and Pacheco are only 18, 19 years old.  They need games and chances.
