anyway, last time, i honestly would like views... (this is my way of trying for a truce of sorts)

When Rafa left (whether you liked it or not, not the issue) no one else wanted the job. we have heard it since. Now Roy, who was loved by EVERYONE at Fulham, and was themanager of the year, stepped up. He had the guts wheneveryone else in world football turned us down. Now if that isnt the Liverpool way I don't know what is.

Yeah he's gonna make mistakes along the way, but I don't care. He came to us when no one else would, he showed the bottle and love for the club when no one else did. You can not like him as a manager as much as you want, but when you start the personal insults you're showing your true colours, and that isn't on.

And if you aim the same insults at Benitez stick them in the rafa thread....there's already plenty of insults still in that thread and all the threads relating to Rafa during his reign at Anfield...appears some people just have short memories

if you want to insult managers past or present then do it in the relevant threads....easy

I don't think for one minute we will be relegated...I actually think we will be in contention for a top 4 spot in the new year if not sooner.

bad thing is the Chelsea game. IF we lose that, this place will need to be shut fown for a couple of days... but I'm with you Sub, I can see us top 6 by Xmas at least

as i've said in othe threads, I expect Roy to improve our league position, and he's the season to do that. A win on sunday and our fortunes will have changed a lot, because we'll be just outside the top 4.

I think we are good enough to challenge for top four and have confidence in us doing it.  Roy is better than many here think he is but I have to be honest and say that he just doesnt feel like a Liverpool manager.

I went to a party in Huyton on the weekend and with some spare time on Saturday afternoon I went on the stadium tour and was relatively shocked with how high the staff spoke about Rafa while at the same time they were just nonchelant about Roy.  The party was fairly split with about 50% of the people bluenoses but the reds I spoke to all seemd to share the same view, nice guy probably a good manager but its just the wrong time and he doesnt feel right but nobody slagged him off or abused him it just felt like everybody had him down as a short term answer.

He is scrutinised from game to game. I'll be honest, I think we will be lucky to get a draw on sunday then the little darlings who dislike our manager will be baying for blood again.
Lets hope the players start playing for him consistently
