Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

For me, we need a major overhaul. From coaches, to players, to management. We need to get it right across the board. I have said a few times, our backroom staff need replacing. When it comes to matchday, the players, attacking wise dont seem to have a clue, and the goals we have been conceding, our defence coaches are fairing no better either. We need to get rid of a lot of deadwood at this club before we can progress.

Rafa isnt here simply because he ran out of ideas. Last season we went stale, and Rafa himself could not change that.

No and no.

His first season he did. Since then he has been constantly injured. Also, during the world cup, he had a stinker, and Rafa was still here at Liverpool.

Your arguments fall flat im afraid. If you blame Roy for the attitudes of the players then you absolutely have to look at Rafa also. Ignorance is not allowed.

Yes he injured that why he's struggle ( during that time ) ... but now he's struggle not because of his injured ... because of  struggle to adapt Roy's style of football ... I'm worry that because of struggle to adapt Roy's style of football, he might get injured again ... and he's NOT the only one that struggle ....

But its more or less the same as Rafas. He is being used as a single striker.

And in all fairness to Roy, he has adopted a 4-4-2 as a back up if things are not working attacking wise. So again, no, I dont accept that. Under Roy, he is given a partner. That never happened under Rafa.

I think the problem with Torres is, he is disillusioned with the english game. He is too physically dealt with, not protected by the referee, and just gives up. I have said this before, if he leaves Liverpool, it wont be for another english club. To me he just looks fed up when things dont go his way, and its happening more and more with each game he plays.

Not as simplistic as that... Rafa's formation and football philosophy go hand in hand, it's a complete system. Roy's version is a screwed up version of Rafa's 4-5-1 which does not have enough support for Torres.

To me he just looks fed up when things dont go his way, and its happening more and more with each game he plays.

If he is fed up with the english game, he would have left in the summer. No reason for him to stay when he already knows what the english game is about. I think he's more fed up with Roy's tactics and the lack of support more than anything. With that said, I thought his workrate and ivolvement has improved int he last two games, against Blackburn and Bolton. It is Gerrard that I'm worried about.

I think blaming Roy for Torres poor film is just lazy. We saw yesterday how time and time again he just lost the ball in dangerous places, almost costing us the game. I don't know whats up with Torres. Maybe its form, mabye its injury, but yesterday we were playnig a lot higher up the park and the support was there. He set up the goal, but he needs his confidence back

I don't and havent jump on roy's quotes in the press . The fu.ckin press ffs , behave yourselves. I was and still am one of the biggest pro rafa  supporters on here (i'd have him back tomorrow) but i'm an LFC supporter first and formost and guess what , i back the manager and the team at the game . For 3 f.uckin years i've been fighting for my club along side some of the people i'm having a go at in this post . Why the feck are you whipping yourself up into a frenzy over some alledged quotes ffs ? When did you start believing the feckin press ? Why and how did you become so disrespectul to a manager of Liverpool ? Loads of you are old enough to know how it works , you show your discontent with silence ffs or by not going the game  or in the ale'ouse. Remember the attendences  under souness and under houllier near the end . THE HOLY TRINITY FFS anyone remember that one . I want him gone and i want him gone now , but will i feck lower myself to disrespect the man or his position as manager .

Newcastle fan on sky the other year . Alladyce doesnt pay for my tickets i do , so i can boo him all i want , it's my right .

Now take a look at what has been said on here and tell me your any different . I'm gutted at our fans behavour over this i seriously am . I decided to not go the games after the Arsenal game this year , and youse lot have made me feel so much better about my decision . Your being driven by the media nad the rumour mungers just as much as the rafa out crowd were ,so your know different . NO CLASS ,NO DIGNITY , NO SUPPORTERS . Think on !!!

Ynwa

The press fucking love him to bits Lad (English manager don't you know )..so I wouldnt exactly say anyone was siding with them ,so your argument falls down there a touch .... the man is food and drink for the  Fleet Street hacks ,,,and its not just what we read its the fucking interviews he conducts ie the videos .... if its at all possible could he refrain from dragging the name of our club through the mud ,you know just stick to winning games and then maybe we wouldn't need the influx of posters telling us how to behave .....
I have supported this team man and boy through thick and thin and I will continue to do so ,but never have I seen a manager albeit from Souness who was less worthy of our respect ..... and his actions and ridiculous barbs certainly go a long way towards proving my feelings to be bang on the money ........... sorry Igor Lad I respect your opinion but your wide of the mark this time mate

I agree with what you are saying red ,but there's way's and means of voiceing our displeasure without resorting to personal insults . If you say Roy is the wrong man for the job and the board should ask him to resign tomorrow, i'd be with you 100% mate . If you say  sack the owl faced auld c.unt (which i've seen and heard from supporters ) i'd say ,show abit of respect for his position and show some class ffs. We are not newcastle or man f,uckin city .We are LFC and we are a breed apart.

Like i've said before ,there's only one man who's brought the position of LFC manager into serious disrepute and he deserves all the bile you can muster , not Roy Hodgson though , not for a few stupid sounbites ffs.

It was great to get a win yesterday, although we didn't really deserve it.
We didn't play well enough and were quite lucky Davies didnt punish us towards the end.

Roy could of did without the dig at Rafa also.  He said to judge him after 10 games and its that time now.  So is 12 points good enough at this stage?  Well, its 40% and he's just about scraped a pass.

But i think he deserves another game or two just to see if we have turned a corner.

I cant believe Im getting accused of going into hiding because we won two games I was on holiday ffs am I not aloud to do that  ???

This forum and Liverpool where a million miles away from my mind and I was glad that Roy didnt enter my mind or the Roy lovers.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Two wins does not change my view of Roy, nice bloke, but in my opinion not upto the job. The football we are playing is very negative and to be on a minus goal difference is unheard of after this many games. I'm in agreement with some of the other posts also, we need new backroom staff, Sammy Lee is past his sell buy date and should not of been re-appointed when he was. New manager and new number 2 required before we see anything like the liverpool we all know and love.
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

The difference is, and it is a key difference, is how it is reacted on. Rafa Benitez gave more than his fair share of dubious responses, and yet nothing is mentioned of them, or when they are brought up, its dismissed.

I wasnt gonna say nothing in this thread anymore but i cant help but reply to this Kharhaz,
Yes Rafa made loads of interviews some mad ones , but what he never done was question or bring up anyone who was our previous manager , Roy is bringing it to peoples attention to much, Why say Kenny was not allowed near Melwood , had nothing to do with anyone, was merley looking like a puppet , and he wants him to be involved  Rafa brought Kenny back, and got him involved ,Why keep bringing up our previous manager in little digs , have a dig a Fergie or one of the other managers instead, thats what is annoying me about him . Every interview he has given recently our previous manager has been thrown in there somewhere ,and imo thats not right,
