ROY HODGSON - Official Thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Talk about a storm in a tea cup ...lets put this into perspective  ...if someone on this forum had made a comparison between Carragher and Carlos Alberto they would have been laughed off the forum ,now taking that into account we are supposedly being led to believe that Roy made these comments as a joke ...... oh I see ....because I wasnt aware of having to hold my sides with fear of them splitting under Roy's steady stream of jokes..... so now he is a comedian ...that bad tempered old fella we have seen all too frequently at press conferences losing his rag with reporters ,has now decided to crack funnies ....... Get to Fuck .....You know what this thread reminds me of ?
the time when the interviewer asked the Sex Pistols to swear on live tv ..... he got exactly what he asked for ....and posters on here are sitting back waiting with a smug smile of self satisfaction laying literary land mines just fishing for someone with a fucking pulse to show a touch of passion ..so they can sink back into their comfy chair and pour scorn on their claims .... at least these posters and fans have a propensity for HONESTY ...some may not like it but there is a huge swell of match going supporters who feel the current incumbent is in well over his head ...and the clock is ticking TICK TOCK TICK TOCK

How pathetic can you get? That response is inexcusable, here is me with a hair growing out of my nose problem and you gloss over it by changing the subject !

:D

Actually it was just one hair but these things snowball, one minute its a hair, the next its a fur ball !  :sniffle

id worry about your liver rather than ear fluff!

Oh great thanks Rocky ! If I wasnt before I am now, I am Newkits hypochondriac !

I've noticed since the win over Blackburn where there were signs of improvement, the anti RH fever has cooled down. Well RH next important test will be Bolton and the next 4 games. If Lvp can avoid defeat in all of them and can get at least 3 wins playing attractive football, the bloke should be given a chance to continue, otherwise just pay him the 3 million and get Pellegrini or Rijkaard take over while they're still available.

I am a little confused by people's thoughts.

Are the majority of fans on here happy with the result and the way we played ?
I havent been in the match thread so i am not sure. The reason i am asking is because there is still much negativity after a very decent performance and obviously we won the game.

I see people are not happy with the comments he has made after the game but to me it seems to be another reason to jump all over the manager as there wasnt anything else to ridicule him over.

they were happy for 70mins.
they are being picky over his comments.
they are also happier here

There is more posts for this inter vs spuds match than Liverpool against Blackpool lol

Yep we did indeed

We told you so !!!!!!!!!!

pathetic how some of them are so willing to make up all kinds of excuses for the previous manager but when the manager makes a mistake, he gets stoned, be it comments or style of play. if Joe Cole joined Liverpool while he was here, its because he wanted to play under him. but since Jole Cole joined us while Roy was here, it was for the money.

why is it so unthinkable that roy was happy with the result and the performance and so decided to lighten up a bit? he may say some odd and ill-thought things at times but i very much doubt he seriously believes that jamie carragher plays anything like carlos alberto. i'm sure he also wasn't trying to suddenly become stan boardman and try his hand at a bit of stand-up. i think he was probably just making a quip nothing else, and the reaction to that quip by so many people on here shows just how much many people need to find more sticks to beat him with.

and the saddest thing of all is that a bunch of adults (and rocky) have spent several pages of internet forum arguing and fighting and insulting each other over the content and meaning of this fukking quip.

Dude, I think most of us feel Hodgson is out of his depth, I know I do but that doesn't mean i'll be joining in with the hysteria and scrutiny that currently greets (and it does) his every sound bite. It's got a bit silly. We won our last game, I'm happy about that and because of that it's a struggle for me to criticise anything until I see how we've gone in our next game.

Bolton are formidable opponents so we won't be expecting much.  Lets hope they don't knock 6 past us and with a bit of luck, we might nick a famous win.  :D

A bit off topic...but how gay does our official site look right now.
3 headlines that read "hands off Pepe", "He wants it more than others" and "Jonjo should look at Gerrard".
