We do know. the answer to the question you pose is "not".
My point was that, he wasn't fully fit for the first half of his first season and was still recoveirng and finding his form in the second half. He didn't have one full season to show us what he was capable of when fit. Nontheless there were times when he played at where he showed glimpses of his skill, his passing and vision which was better than most on the team.
Alas I would have to put this down to Roy's less-adviseable decisions: Aquilani and Riera. Letting go of Benayoun was the right decision because we're getting Joe Cole. Riera is miles better than Jovanovic and he only had problems with Rafa, so Roy could have, theoretically, convinced him to stay. Aquilani was under contract and if we wanted a stronger squad, we would have kept him. It's either Roy's less-adviseable decisions or the then Board forcing him to asset strip.

That's coming from the guy who's always championing the cause of a player who needs a standing-eight every time someone sneezes within a 10 yards radius! you couldn't make it up.

how do you check that mate?
Obviously the more controversial figures will have more pages. It's not surprising that Roy's thread is now over 260 in less than half a season. I wonder how many pages did Rafa's thread have after 6 seasons.
