I have found a web site in which I have handy all the Liverpool relevant songs.

It's ideal for answers in the threads:

Nice to see ego wars are still going strong after 3 years and like most wars the first casualty is truth

Onto the subject didnt want to see Rafa go, didnt want Roy and I doubt he will even last the season, though I still think early sacking is fraught with danger.

Until then though he is Liverpool manager and while critique of his stewardship is accepted and sadly well deserved at moment.
The mockery made of him is bang out of order, though thats just my  humble opinion as one of the non clique aligned laconic lurkers

Roy is a brilliant manager:

- He buys mostly proven "premiership quality" players
- He uses proper manmarking and none of that zonal marking nonsense.
- He is english
- He knows the league
- He uses the important arm around the shoulder approach.
- The shackles are off

And thats just some of the qualities that makes him such a great manager.

Zonal marking won reina 3 golden gloves did it not?
Does being english help us?
I would question his knowlege of the league as we appear to play the same old nonsense against every team.
Which shackles are off lol ?

It's curious that Gerrard and Carragher are reported as being supportive of Hodgson's attempts to turn things round as apparently Torres and Reina are queestioning the manager's abilities. One suspects that Gerrard and Carragher would of the established players have the most to fear from any high profile NESV appointment to succeed Hodgson and that in the longer term they may be moved on.

But in all reality as nobody really knows whats going on, and are jut commenting on rumours the whole squad incl Torres and Reina may love Roy...  its just better to believe whatever supports your augument
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Roy's quoting in the press today about how tough it was at Fulham initially but how he got them out of it says it all about how unfit he is for the job. Does he think he's the next Shankley? I wonder what the new directors will think if they watch us lose tomorrow.

If we lose tomorrow, blackburn (in 17th) will have a six point gap. We can not let that happen or we are really in the sh!t, we need to win by three to get above them.

Here you go Roy this is what you should have done.

Brian Reade: Has defeatist Hodgson got grand delusions at Liverpool?

Roy Hodgson has been batting away criticism of his tough start at Anfield by arguing a man of his experience doesn’t become a poor manager overnight.

Which may be true. But it has to be asked how a manager of his experience can sound so much like a naive defeatist overawed by the size of the club he now manages.

Take the quote that he wouldn’t be surprised if Manchester United came in for Fernando Torres because when a club of that size lose a player like Wayne Rooney they want a world-class replacement.

Roy, this isn’t Fulham you’re managing here, where it’s compulsory to doff your cap to the big boys.

Imagine what Alex Ferguson would have said if he’d been Hodgson: “Are youse having a ****ing laugh. Torres is under contract and going nowhere. Especially not to a man who a month ago called him a cheat.

“Our clubs don’t do business with each other? Do you not remember Gabriel Heinze? United said they’d put him on gardening leave and go to court before they sold him to us.

“That’s how it works up here. Besides, if United’s not good enough for Rooney why should it be good enough for Torres?

“Now away and write your s***e.”

And he’d be spot-on. Hodgson may feel he has excuses for his players’ defeats on the pitch.

But he has none for his own defeatist performances off it.
