Everyone has the right to express an opinion Ben, but the relentless obcessive nature of the 'campaign' was far more viscious than a few silly comments over a week or two concerning Roy.

He's been out of management for over a decade and he has proven, time and again, that he cannot take the pressure of the top flight. If Kenny took the job, he would quit within 3 months and leave LFC for good.

don't get me wrong, i think he's a legend and i was heartbroken when he quit in the early 90s...i was also ever hopeful he would come back after stepping down at Blackburn...but that's in the past. Kenny is not what we need right now.

i agree. As much as i love Kenny i think he's been out too long. Also, do you think he would have the pulling power any more, yes he's very respected but would a top player pick him over someone like Mourinho/Ancelotti  or other top current european managers.

I'd hate for him to leave the club as he can offer so much without having to take the managers job.

I think we need a top notch manager and need to pay accordingly to get one.

Jeez Ben...... relentless targetting of anyone who disagreed with their views, relentless attacks on the manager (in great length in multiple, multiple posts) over weeks and months etc... Its not and wasnt 'normal behaviour' more attempted cyber brain washing.

Its been mentioned just recently by a few posters so its there for anyone who is sufficently interested to investigate however it bears no resemblence to the style of recent posts - by a far wider audience it must be stated as well.

Thats all.

So in other words they posted their thoughts ?
But their thoughts disagreed with the people that were behind the previous manager.

Isnt that allowed ?
Does it matter how long someones post is ?
Does it matter if they post alot if they feel strongly or passionately about something ?

Why did you use the term vicious ?

The only people that for me have been brainwashed are certain fans, and that was not by saint or bigmick, it was by a previously failed manager  :;):

 well said Ben. its ironic how words like "vicious" have appeared when comments being made about our current manager even before he had a game were nothing short of a disgrace.

I'm going to agree with Ben also, I don't think s@int and Mick went on and said Rafa is a ''muppet'' or an ''owl'' or went on posting owl pictures. They put their thoughts in sensibly and they also praised the team when we won big games.

You choose to deny the obvious, which is surprising but fine.

Expressing your thoughts and what I describe are distinctly different styles of writing, with different objectives and its pretty straighforward for most people to differentiate between the two.

Obcessive behaviour is a well documented paranoia, its out there on the net for anyone to learn about, it aint a secret.  :eyebrow

Reg this is a liverpool forum and we were sh!te last season.
The two posters you referred to posted it as they seen it.

Its as simple as that no matter how you want to dress it up.

The difference this season is the abuse that Roy is getting is

a) personal
b) before he was even given any chance

I have read loads of posts saying Roy deserves what he gets because he is embarrasing the club.
Well some fans who were not behind the previous manager might have thought that his cryptic press conferences were embarrasing.
There's nothing wrong with having a different opinion and replying to every thread if that's what you believe in.
Benny does it  :D

But the abuse Roy has/is taking is out of order.

I do however agree that he is out of his depth and the people that didnt want him in the first place were right.

Cant they just show a bit more class about all of this though ?

Geez this is like claiming Jerusalem as one's holy ground. If people on here are guilty about being too critical/abusive towards Roy, then there were  equally guilty people regarding the previous manager. FWIW I agree with reg. If one can only see one side of things on what happened last season and what's happening this season then one must be really self- absorbed. To be fair no one has really been abusive of Roy on here just because of football. It is when he started spouting non-sense and as a result show that he doesn't get the LFC Fans or the club's struggles that people could not take it anymore and rightly so.

Posting pictures of owls, calling him a muppet and owl head is not being abusive?

'All things in moderation' is the order of the day and quite agree, it shouldnt be personal.
