ROY HODGSON - Official Thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby jacdaniel » Wed Oct 20, 2010 9:22 pm

I actually hate Roy hodgson!  He is the first manager thats ever made me feel like we are some little sh.itty club like Malmo!
I believe that Torres, Reina and Agger at the very least... all despise him and his tactics too.

I bet when he is sacked there will lots of media garbage about us losing the Liverpool way.  They're just pisse.d off cos another English manager has failed.

I've read more of the interview on various sites.

Hodgson said he would do everything possible to keep Torres "happy" so he would remain at the club but said that he wouldnt be "naive" and say that he couldnt rule out UTD bidding for him should they sell Rooney. He said that were that to happen he'd cross that bridge when he comes to it.

Well, well, well. First of all, its not about keeping players happy. Its about motivating players, supporting them and getting them to play well on the pitch. Its not about doing everything and anything to keep them happy: would Shankly have been worried whether his players felt they werent been sufficiently pandered to?

Secondly, Roy has actually given a glimmer of hope to his old chum SAF that theres a possibility of selling Torres to them lot. He should have said that a situation might arise whereby Liverpool would sell Torres that would only happen on Liverpool's terms and no transfer to UTD, Citeh or Chelsea could be contemplated. Obviously our hand could be forced should Torres want to leave but there's no indication thats on the cards at present and its incumbant upon the Liverpool manager to take a hard line on these things.

RT @neiljjones: Would love to see Ferguson if asked about #LFC bidding for Rooney. You'd be banned within ten seconds.

The first thing I said yesterday when the Rooney off story came out would be Roy would sell him to them, not that they could afford him but he would.

Just f,uckin leave already im sick of you and I hate you

he's an idiot and definately thinks he is at a small club with his mentality of letting his best players go to big clubs.
you really are a tool woy and your answer should have been we are not going to sell torres and wouldnt entertain a bid for him, fernando is one of our best players and we want to build around him not sell to our rivals.

Roy comes out with this

Hodgson on possibility of MUFC trying to sign Torres: "I think I'd have to say we'd cross that bridge when we come to it."

Wrong answer Roy

RAfa comes out with,

" While i am the manager of Liverpool Football KLOOB I  not WILL NOT sell Torres or Gerrard "

Right Answer

Just another pathetic example of the small club mindset that Roy's brought to a massive club. :no

I really think that NESV need to make use of the 'bring in their own man' clause that's supposed to be in Roy's contract.

Pellegrini representative confirms contacts with Liverpool
Wednesday October 20, 2010
Fuente :Dpa Source: dpa
Manuel Pellegrini is in negotiations to direct the ailing Liverpool, announced today the representative of the strategist, Jesus Martinez.

We had some contacts, but as the club is in the process of change, and no one knows who is boss, no progress on the topic," Martinez revealed.

The choice of the former coach of Real Madrid, came about because of the poor performance of the England team, now led by Roy Hodgson.
Martinez added that the possibility of commanding technically Liverpool Chilean appeals more to other offers from the last time, junior teams and tradition.

"Pellegrini has had offers from clubs in Italy, but initially wanted to wait a bit to some better option," said the representative.

"And Liverpool is a club that Manuel would like to address," he said.
