Player for Player how much better are this Inter team than ours fully fit?! Prob not much different.

Then why do we have to lump it and run, and they play a nice pass and move game?

Really? They're miles better imo.  They have footballers we have people that love to run around and smash into opposing players.  Torres isn't anywhere near as good as Eto at the moment and no one in our midfield is as good as Sneijder at the moment either.  Our wings don't have any kind of width in their attack, more importantly like I said earlier they have proper footballers with technical ability, we don't.  Also, our manager is sh!t.

That said.. confidence is a huge difference, too.

Sorry Ian Rush's Right Peg but Id have to disagree there, this Inter team has a ridiculous amount of talent in it, and are an actual defensive unit which seems to be a distant memory at Anfield.

Maybe a bit of an understatement but they they are both individually and collectively better than us. They have  a better manager too.

Thats how a team should play football.  Disgusted that we sacked him and got Roy.

Really i reckon it's pretty close. * indicates IMO the better player

Rough Positions, again bear in mind fully fit and full of confidence

Julio Cesar,  Reina *
Maicon*, Jonson
Lucio, Carra*
Samuel*, Agger
Chivu*, Koncesky
Zanetti*,  Lucas
Stankovic, Meiriles*
Biabiany, Kuyt*
Sneijder, Gerrard *
Coutinho, Cole*
Eto'o, Torres*

But then  compare that to 18months ago and look what we had then!!!

It just really shows how much NESV need to invest, and it has to start at the top with old man Woy

Rushy lad the only one of those choices I would say Liverpool have it better at the moment is Kuyt over the young lad, and thats only because I havnt see enough of him to properly judge him. In Cesar youve picked the one GK in the world who I believe is better than Reina. Honestly atm you really think Gerrard and Torres are better than Eto'o and Sneijder?

Postby RED BEERGOGGLES » Wed Oct 20, 2010 9:25 pm

This is a great victory for Inter ...Spurs play some lovely ambitious attacking football and Rafa has made them look like amateurs ...they way they have neutralized Spurs wing play is nothing short of genius ,and whilst playing progressive inventive football they have also managed to condense the play ..... top manager with excellent tactics that have left Redknap looking decidedly English
