The Liverpool board appointed RH because they wanted Rafa out and they couldn't attract the top names due to the debts. They probably thought Roy could improve on his performance at Fulham in Lfc and because of that, would at least be a good stop gap manager. But now we've found out that the formula Roy uses only works for the middle position clubs and not a big club like Lfc and not only it doesn't work, it drags Lfc down instead.

Roy must know his days are numbered and the best he can do for liverpool now is not to remain here for the long haul but to act as a caretaker manager and ensures a smooth transition for the next manager to come in, hopefully before the January transfer window, so that the next top name manager(hopefully) will have time to consider who to buy and sell.

I hate to say this about Roy as he seems like a nice bloke but this is Lfc, we cannot accept this kind of performance for a manager.

You must be blind...

By all means, explain how.

Less points , less goals , more conceeded , worse position in the table - at the same point as this time last season .

Looking at the table and results just screams the fact we are worse than last season - and by a mile .

Well before the end of last season Benitez was on a downward spiral and the team were awful. He knew that Mascherano was going and that he was working with owners that he couldn't trust or provide him with the necessary funds to improve the side.

Benitez's track record in the transfer market is poor and that is being generous so even if he had been given the funds he would probably have wasted them on a striker that was well past his sell by date or a sick note of a midfield player .

So please explain why you are so convinced that Benitez would be doing a better job at this point in time given the same resources that Hodgson has available to him which are largely of Benitez's doing?

Because history tells us he has done before - not once have we ever been in this situation both points , goals scored or conceded and position in table under Rafa in fact not since 1928

What gets me though is people who went on here and slaughtered the man and guaranteed that someone like Mourinho would kill to manage us. That is and was so incredibly far from any kind of reality it still boggles the mind.

And then there's people like in this thread who posted they where bored with Rafa and after he promised 4th and finished 7th he had to go.

European games against Barca, Real Madrid, Juve etc etc, on a yearly basis? Not to mention a few finals now and then. Should not be ignored people wanted the title and he didnt deliver it thats why people wanted him out, not because of the 7th place finish people thought the grass was greener getting shut of him well everyone knows now its not.

And of course there's also the point of who should replace Rafa. Why anyone would think the people we had/have in charge would be able to get us anything better is beyond me. We reap what we sow, and there are plenty of Liverpool fans out there who thoroughly deserve what's happening now.

As bad as last season was with Rafa he didnt ever have us in 18th place seven goals scored with a minus goal difference.

When you get rid of a manager you replace said manager with someone better who in their right mind thought Roy Hodgson would be any better seriously needs their heads testing, the first thing I said when he signed was he will take us down and I was right.

I didnt want to be proven right I feel a f,uckin shamed embarressed and humiliated at our position in the league, I feel a f,ucking shamed in having an absoluty clueless manager in charge, who has no clue about Liverpool Football Club and is still comparing us to Fulham.

Twit & Tw@t have gone if the new owners have ruthlessness about them they should sack Hodgson today before he ruins this club for ever.

Did they Lynds, put up a quote will you and I'll laugh at them myself. "guaranteed that someone like Mourinho would KILL to manage us"

I think with the "I told you so" posts, it makes sense to just include the bit you were probably right about. The fact that it looks like Hodgson was the wrong choice, get the "I told you so's" in about that and it's fair enough if it floats your boat. Once again though, the fact that Hodgson hasn't been able to arrest the tailspin which Benitez had us well and truly in doesn't mean you go back to Benitez.

As for people "killing" to manage us, lets try and keep the discussion at least a little bit real, it makes it more interesting.
