Ironically while owner situation hasnt  done Royany favours while managing the team.
However if we had stable ownership this season, I think Roy would already be gone after this derby result
New ownership probably given a few weeks more respite but I think he going to need a miracle

what is your claim? that he was happy with a derby defeat? it is more of a grimace.

Hodgeson might be the wrong man but stop looking for spasticated reasons to get rid of him, what next? if he is pictured with a blue tie he is an everton supporter?

grow the fukk up morons

Defend this pile of waffle !!!!

"They will finds ways and means of aiding us in those areas but when it comes to us playing we've got the players we have and we have to keep working with them and hopefully they will win some games.

"The transfer window is two and a half months off and there is a lot of football to be played so there is no point in us in trying to put our eggs in the basket of the January transfer window.

"The first thing we have to do is start winning matches and if we can do that and get in a better position and the owners can find the way to back us in the transfer window to improve the team we will obviously do so.

"The transfer window is something which interests us, and we will have to do our scouting work, but it is not something which interests me in the coming week.

"What does interest me is preparing for Napoli and then Blackburn - in particular it is the Blackburn game we need to win."

Hodgson has a two-fold problem at the moment in that the side are conceding goals but are not scoring enough.

In the league Liverpool have scored seven goals and let in 14 in eight matches.

The manager knows he has to find a way of increasing the former while reducing the latter but does not believe one aspect has to suffer in order for the other to benefit.

"It is a problem we are letting in goals but with the offensive line-up we have that is going to be a risk," he said.

"Basically we need to score goals to take pressure off the fact we could let them in.

"Good teams score goals and don't let many in as we see Chelsea doing topping the table.

"They manage to score goals without letting them in and that is what have got to be trying to do as well.

"I'm not prepared to suggest we need to offer something for something else (ie: defensive solidity at the expense of goalscoring).

so in a nutshell.

in order to win games you have to score more than you concede.

the mans a genius.

Roy was at Fulham and other similar clubs too long. That kind of a performance week in week out at Fulham would keep them nicely in mid-table. Roy's not a top four manager and never will be even if does turn this around temporarily. With or without cash in January Roy won't last long at Anfield.

Oh boy, Roy is cr@p.  It's plain for everyone to see even Mick has to be realizing that this guy is definitely not fit to manage us?  Unreal what he is coming out in the press with.

Our priority now is to concentrate on our next game against Napoli...

Regarding the smiling picture. It still amazes me how so many turn a blind eye to what Rafa did, and his attitude towards our bad results with him in charge. Let me remind you of our match earlier this season away to Birmingham in which we drew 0 - 0. Then look at the responses and criticism Roy got. Consider, Birmingham have strengthened and become a very strong team at home. Now consider this:

Liverpool V Birmingham.

At Anfield. It took a dive from N'Gog to get that. And Rafa smiling at the end in the interview. But thats fine, thats ok...

The arguments against Roy are exactly the same arguments you can use against Rafa. Thats why I find it amazing. How there is the finest of lines between the two and yet so big a difference in fans attitude. At this minute in time, considering Roys tactics, there is very little difference between him and Rafa.

At last...a bit of sense.

It's impossible to defend Roy's bollocks talk and it is, of course, bollocks talk. But, how much bollocks talk came out of Benitez's cake hole?

Tons of it...and it was equally indefensible.

And what do people expect him to say? "We were shite. Torres is bollox. I'm gonna kill Lucas...and as for the other cunts..."

Of course he's going to spin it. Every manager does. How many times did Benitez prattle on about "quality" and "creating chances" in games where we created fuck all?

It's managerial spin...and we should ALL be used to by now.

When Roy was mooted as a possible replacement for Benitez, I said that I couldn't see him working out at Liverpool. Unfortunately, that seems to be very much the case. But, I am willing to see what he can bring to the table in the next few games. If there isn't a massive upswing in both performance and results, then I'll have to be honest and say it's time to go. Benitez brought me to that decision about 3 seasons ago (albeit with a willingness to "see where things might go"). Roy has managed that in a quarter of a season. It's something I am very unhappy about.

And as for people pissing and moaning about his picture on Sunday. He's simply congratulating the winning team...cop yourselves on.

Bretc wrote:During all my 24 years as a Liverpool fan, I’ve never seen a Liverpool team playing as bad as the one under Hodgson. Granted, the Souness-era was a terrible period but the team was made up of horrendously average players that still made me cringed today. Today we have the likes of Torres, Gerrard, Cole, Meireles, Johnson, Reina, Agger, Kuyt and a handful of promising young talents, yet we just keep on losing every single match! My point is this – we have the players but we do not have the right tactic and right motivation to make them succeed as a team.

Many may point the fingers at the players for lack of motivation but who is the one responsible for motivating them? A manager has the authority to choose his players; if any of them refuses to be motivated, jolly well have the guts to drop them! Be it Gerrard, Torres or whoever the hell! And when things go wrong on the field, stop stroking your damn chin and work something out!!! Watching the way we play at the moment makes me wanna cry cos we’re playing the same way as Fulham! We’re sitting very deep and inviting the opposition to attack us at will! And when we have the ball what do we do? Whack it hard towards Torres – oh wait, that’s not Agger doing the passing, that’s “hoof-the-ball” Carra doing the job. Where’s Agger? Oh, Hodgson has decided that Skrtel, Soto and Carra are better defenders than him and moreover he’s more of a leftback – and a 2nd choice behind Konchesky. ATROCIOUS!!!

I see the media blaming Torres and I blame Hodgson for that cos he’s trying to deflect the attention away from himself and towards Torres. I dun blame Torres at all. It’s obvious there wasn’t any decent service from midfield especially when Gerrard and Cole were so far away from him. As a result, he gotto feed on scraps and ended up looking bad. When we’ve got 2 of the best English attacking midfielders behind the best striker in the world and yet can’t produce any consistent stream of goalscoring chances, you know something must be wrong. There is no pattern in our attacking build-up play and Torres is isolated up front. If this has nothing to do with Hodgson’s inept tactic, I dunno what it is.

So whichever way I see it, all fingers are to be pointed at Hodgson – fingers of blame! He’s a born loser with loser tactics and loser mentality. He hasn’t got a clue what Liverpool is about; he is deluded and he deserves to be sacked! *Dun even bring up the smiling episode after the derby match – that was a disgrace and insult of infinite proportions!!!*

On a sidenote, I wonder how’s the current relationship between Torres and Gerrard. I dunno what it is but something seems to be amiss between them.  I worry there is a division between English and non-English players. Hope not cos that would be a bigger problem to resolve. And I hope we do not see the ugly player power drama unfolding. I really worry that players like Carra and Gerrard hold too much influence that will create different camps in the team. This is one of the problems prior to Rafa’s arrival – here’s hoping my worry is unfounded.
