I don't know about "defending" Roy, but I still think it would be a mistake to call time on him after eight matches. There were parts of todays game which I thought were an improvement on the Blackpool performance, not enough but an improvement, but whichever way you look at it sacking him now isn't the right move for me.

The ONLY reason why I can see sense in getting rid, and I've said this before, is that the fans have dug themselves into such a deep hole of dislike over him I cannot see him winning them over no matter what he does. I absolutely 100% believe that until the fans and the club are united (which means they must be behind the manager) we will not achieve our potential. It's looking impossible for Roy to achieve this as far as I can see it.

fecking un-believeable- todays oerforfance was better in parts than the blackpool game! fecking hell -i hope you have me on ignore, cause i will ague all fecking day & night about your observation!- how the feck can you even compare the two fecking games in what they stand for is fecking ridiculas to say the least!

feck all this super fan, better fan bu11sh1t,that you may spout at me! the fact is & always will remain,-the derby is & always be a totally differnent  game to any other anyone whose been to will witness & testify in knowing where i'm coming from!

'our performance today was an improvement on the blackpool game'

:veryangry   again tactics shouldn't even come into this build up the game,it's fecking blackpool at home ffs- we should, not could-should of battered that team! it's not about the manager -you can support him all you like, get behind the team 100% as you put it- the fact remains that at this moment in time -we are in this together, that means IN IT TOGETHER- THE PLAYERS REGARDLESS OF POSISTION,should wipe the floor with teams like blackpool, feck tactics from the manager-the quality of player should stand out first & foremost to win a football game!

so as for today your comment about we played better in parts than the blackpool game, really shows you don't have to be a super fan of LFC-you just need to know the difference, between expectany an what is expected of every player when they pull on a red shirt!

the blackpool game was full of expectancy cause we were at home, quality, passion, guts etc first -tactics second. the mersey derby -passion,guts,quality second-that's the differnce.

today we showed none of that & both games showed -this is what needs adresing-the manager knows what is expected -the players need to back him up!

btw when we were winning titles back in the 80's,i was at every home game an most away games & i can't remember most fans whinging about team selections! cause the team then had passion, guts an desire to wear the red shirt first & formost-the manager then knew he had a group of players in which showed the best quality of leading by example-then tactics was just about fine tuning the team.

the team today & in recent weeks as shown none of this, that is the major concern for me!

You do talk some sh!t fella honestly. All this heart on the sleeve, died in the wool season ticket holder stuff is all very well but you talk out of your ersehole much of the time.

When did I compare the two games in terms of importance? I didn't, so stop talking b0ll0cks. What I said was we played better than we did against Blackpool, and in my opinion we did. If you don't agree with that, that's cool by me but spare me all the other sh!te because it has no relevence to what I was on about.

Some time ago you claimed you were putting ME on "ignore", why you took it off I'm fecked if I know. Put me back on FFS and do one.

The fans aren't the people doing the set up and tactics - Hodgsons current failure has nothing to do with the fans and the support - they are as loud as ever on the stands .The problems Hodgson is facing are of his own making . The manager and his actions determine how successful he is so please Mick stop going on as if it the fans not fully behind Hodgson as a reason it's a failure at the moment

God this is hard to watch, we need to start rebuilding and Roy set us back by shipping out Insua for Kochesky and signing Poulson.. neither are good enough and they're at their peaks.  We need a quality manager asap, Roy has done nothing but prove the skeptics right when I really wanted him to succeed.  He simply isn't up for this and anyone who thinks otherwise is foolish.  You can see it, he just isn't up for the task at hand.

Where did I say the fans were doing the tactics? Where did I blame the fans for our current predicament. Fecks sake don't people read the posts they are attacking any more

Look, my considered opinion is that the club WILL NOT PROSPER UNTIL THE FANS UNITE BEHIND THE MANAGER. That applies whoever the manager is, it could be Roy, it could be Kenny, it could be Hiddink, it could be Benitez. Until the club is united it will under-achieve.

If we are to get rid of Hodgson, whoever is the new manager MUST be in charge of a united club if we are to prosper. That is what I am saying, Hodgson never had that luxury, and we must absolutely make sure that if a new bloke comes in he does.

I have many posts supporting him. However, I said Benitez had to go as 7th is unacceptable but I would have accepted that from Roy in his first season as  I think the squad is terrible (and that is benitez's faullt)

However, the fact we are in the relegation zone is Roy's fault.

I'd give him a month to buck up or ship him out.

I don't think Roy will stay with us until christmas, probs NESV would want their own man to take charge now.

The club is united - united behind making the club the best - people will always differ when it comes to opinions on players and manager - going by what your saying we were never united when rafa was in charge . I still can't see what your point it and how it effecting us on the pitch .

Well I 100% disagree. It hasn't been united since the early days of Benitez, pre the yanks IMHO.

NESV were quick to remove people in Boston if they thought they were passed it or just not good enough, I wouldn't be surprised if once they get their people in place we come to see some drastic changes.

Go to a game and listen to the support . As soon as whistle goes the fans unite for one thing .

Just listened to Hodgsons after match comments - he really must of watched a different game .

I know you like your "go the game" jibes :D, but there's more to a club being united than that. Anyway I can't be bothered to talk about it right now to tell the truth, so I'll leave it with you.

Benny, the fans are not united don't be delusional.. everyone is all over the place at the moment but at least the owner situation is settled.

Exactly, that's what I think as well, I don't think Roy will be here for long.
