fukkk you .

Pardon me then for changing the R to W. I think Rafa got called a lot worse from most on here.

Oh he did by the fella thats just called you a kunt thats the reason he has 4 warning cards, short memories these people.

Showing so little respect to the liverpool manager (just because he can't prounounce the letter R) is a disgrace. Add in the fact that he has managed just 7 league games and has been given no time to turn around the benitez blunder shows how impatient/stupid many fans are.

Are we Newcastle in disguise?

Hypocrisy thy name is you fella. How can you claim people show the Liverpool manager when you have a personnal vendetta against the last one? Did you show him any?

Seriously wtf is wrong with some of you lot? Its really time to start looking at the cold hard facts instead of getting yet another dig in in your never ending plight to be proved right in the long running saga of the worlds most futile flamewar.

Its this simple: We are currently awful, according to the manager we are in a relegation battle. WAS THAT IN HIS EXPECTATIONS AT THE START OF THE SEASON?

Niall are you going to be happy if we "give the manager the respect" and we get relegated this year? Will all the pros take it as a victory if Roy takes us into the Championship because they said from the start he wasnt the right man for the job? I really dont think any of you would, yet day after day you still keep banging home the same self-righteous nonsense because you all just have to be right. Please, every one of you just let it f*cking go already. No one wins in this current environment.

Are we Newcastle in disguise?

I think we've established that the only disguise we're weaing is a Fulham one
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

He has a 3 year deal I think. How much would we be talking compensation wise? Can't be more than 4Mil I reckon.

The players have to take some blame but at the end of the day the buck stops with the manager. Roy needs to get things right and fast, international break might do us the world of good but when we come back we need to hit the ground running or Roy is facing the boot. We will wait and see

FWIW i think it was right to sack Rafa because it had gone stale under his management and we did need a change but i am begenning to wonder if we might have picked the wrong man. But as I said im still willing to give Roy some more time and turned things around

That's a sensible post Dundalk. It's not crisis point as far as I'm concerned yet but it's very much approaching it. I can say for possibly the first time ever I'm actually pleased to see an International break. Having said that, the way this season has gone a load of our key players will probably get injured whilst away on International duty. On resumption we've got the Derby and strange as it sounds that could be exactly what we need at the moment. If the players can't get themselves up for that one then they never will do. I still think Roy will turn it around and we'll climb the table (hell it can't get any worse) but the players and manager both have to look at themselves at the moment. Liverpool haven't sacked a manager during a season in their history and getting rid of Hodgson now won't change things. Nobody of pedigreee would touch us with a bargepole at the moment and whatever the fans chant there's no way the board would appoint Kenny. I for one think there's far too much player power at the club.

Its clear to any level headed supporter that we need to take stock of what is happening before we make rash decisions.
We need to park our history and heritage to one side (loathe as I am to do so) because at this moment it is a hinderance rather than a help. We are in sh'it street, that much is clear. But that doesnt mean we have to panic, yet. As has been said before we are 3 points off 19th (fulham) and six points off the top 6. People are being hysterical (some just to wind others up) but it is not  a crisis yet, although I admit that defeats in the next 2 games will start one.
What we have to do is stick together. Those of us over 40 will know that this is unpresidented in terms of what we have achieved over the years. But as I said, this is now and those things, important as they are, have no bearing on the present situation.
Sad but true Im afraid but there it is.

I agree with that and im surprised more people havent mentioned it.  In my opinion, Stevie and Carra probably had a big say in Rafa getting sacked and Roy appointed.  Them 2 would of wanted an English manager.

I saw Stevie on football focus and some interviews from Carra and they seem to feel personally responsible in some ways and are desperate to justify it.

Its also a coincidence that Gerrard now starts every game in CM.  (His preffered position).  But what can we expect when the manager has to beg players to stay at the club?

Roy is not a good enough manager to handle these players.  We need someone to tell these players to shut the f.uck up and play were they're played.

Hope not! They were too good to go down remember? And before them were Leeds.....

I think Roy should be given at most 3 more games only to turn things around. If we're still in the relegation zone after that, then it's time to change things. We simply CANNOT afford to go down. And yes, we ARE too good to go down, but that's not the issue. People get relegated not because they are too good or not too good, they get relegated because they play like f'ucking c'unts....which is EXACTLY the way we're playing at the moment.

Football fans can be so illogical.

How can any manager turn around the mess that he was left with, with little spending money, in just 7 league games?

There is nothing left to play for this season (we won't go down!) so it is all about Roy finding out what system works best with these players and what players he needs to get rid of.

Why not give him 2 full seasons before calling for his head?

Go on Roy :buttrock

The last guy had 6 years to do something, he didn't - yet this one has 7 games??

If Roy gets 6 years and the huge money the last guy got, and comes 7th then I'll call for Roy's head.

Because we'll be in the Championship by then.

Hicks and Woy stay, we'll finish lower mid table this season, lose Torres and Gerard in the summer with no replacements as Hicks struggles to come up with more money, and get relegated the next year.

No one said five years ago that the banks could go under, yet look what happened. All bets are off.
