ROY HODGSON - Official Thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Reality is its never too early. If you get a gut feeling you have made a mistake the instinct is to fix it and plenty of managers have gone after no sooner starting. Clough at Leeds springs to mind. I am not condoing Hodgson going, frankly I havent a clue what we should do, but it can happen, very easily yes.

Hodgson will not be sacked unless we get new owners . They won't splash out more millions .

work it out like this: what would be more expensive gettin rid of Hodgson or getting relegated? Make no mistake that performance today was that bad

So how do we feel now?

I have just got in from work and I'm glad I missed it.

I know a few on here are saying get rid of Roy (me included) and most on here say he needs a chance, but isn't it obvious that the fella is well and truly out of his depth at our club, he has currently got the worlds biggest snorkel to breath because he is that much out of his depth. Let's face it the board picked the wrong fella, are all you do gooders willing to let him carry on like this just so he can in some way prove yous right.

We won't get relegated - we will move up the table and finish in top half .

The players or some of them might not be good enough. For ****'* sake Roy play an attacking style end of and get shot of this counter attacking s****. I'd rather we get relegated playing great football than this s****.

Read it and weep.

In 1999, Roy - in charge of the second most expensively assembled squads in the league - won 1 game in his first 14. He was sacked when they sat bottom of the table. At the end of the year, Blackburn finished 19th and were relegated.

Also lost his first 35 games at Malmo FOFL

I don't agree as I remember similar predictions last season with Rafa. Do the owners want to lose £25 million if we get relegated? Do the club want to lose another £100 million off the value of the club's price? Make no mistake if things carry on like this for that much longer and there's a similar response at the end of the game to today Roy will be gone without a shadow of a doubt.

"It's pointless to try and be positive and say the second half was better and we could have got an equaliser because we lost the game - a game we did not want to lose."

Not a game we had to win, but one we didn't want to lose ...

This is Roy for you and always has been.

Pardon me then for changing the R to W. I think Rafa got called a lot worse from most on here.

Very nice response from you btw
