All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)

We had dreams and songs to sing

Ciggy may well be right. But not for the reasons she gives.
It looks to me that the players are mentally incapable of putting together a consistent run and are bewildered, bemused and clueless for most of the games. This is not he managers fault alone. The players have to take responsibility.
If we are being totally honest they started this with Benitez and seem to have carried it on.
Is Roy the right man to turn it around? I have to say Im less sure than I was at the beginning of he season. But I dont know who, out of those available, could have done it. Such is the depth of despondancy he has inherited. We are desperate for some unity and cohesion, some leadership and courage, on and off the pitch otherwise the unthinkable will be here sooner rather than later.

bigmick wrote:I personally think that as far as the debate about the fans is concerned, it matters not a jot how good or bad Roy is. The simple fact is that in the past Liverpool fans rounding on a manager in his first few matches would have been unheard of.

Perhaps this is what people meant when they said the club should be modernised. I can only say for my own part I don't like it. My guess is they'll hound Roy out of the job before too much longer, and the club will be none the better off for it.

It's a shame and an embarrassment to see, but that's how it is I'm afraid.

The embarrassment is 'that' 'team performance' a fookin non-performance AGAIN..

Roy is the MANAGER, it is his job to motivate these, so-called Liverpool players.

Today I am ashamed that the player have not beaten Balckpool, I am ashamed that there is no motivator able to change tactics and beat Blackpool  - Today we are bottom 3 and it is UNACCEPTABLE.. WHO DO YOU BLAME ?

I have been willing to give Roy a chance - depsite my vocal protests against his appointment in the summer - I wanted Hiddink - today my fears are coming to fruition - I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS STATE OF AFFAIRS COS I WANTED ROY TO SUCCEED... TODAY WE ARE IN SHI'T ON THE PITCH AS WELL AS OFF IT..

THE PLAYERS ARE GOOD ENUFF TO BEAT BLACKPOOL AND MOST IN THIS LEAGUE.. THEY'RE A SHAM AND SO IS THE MGT

roys first big mistake letting masherano go . roys second mistake letting aqua go on loan. roys third mistake buying poulsen. and roys 4th mistake and worse not buying a fecking striker and wasting it on meireles instead. all roy had to do was keep the same squad as last season and get another striker and left back and joe cole for free. all my predictions have come true. now with nando out injured aswell all of you said nando wud come good apart fom me.

The thing is most of this team almost won the league a few years ago so they can't be that bad can they? To be honest the best thing to invigorate the team would have been an injection of quality in terms of signings. It surely can't be good mentally for the players to see the likes of Mascherano leave with Poulsen coming in. And how many freebies have we had over the last few years? It all takes it's toll eventually and we are seeing that now.

If we had better players, we would have bigger ambitions and the team would perform better as a unit.

Even if he wanted to go we still should have made more of an effort to bring in a quality replacement. Instead we bring in Poulsen and cross our fingers Lucas will improve. As it was we lost our balance in midfield after Xabi left and it's even worse now.

9 million spend was spent to change managers - replaced a world class manager with numerous top trophies to his name with a long serving lower club manager with no top trophies to his name and we end up in the bottom three . Great work blowing all the money to sink us further backwards .

I hate to joke at a time like this but you gotta laugh when people actually thought he would 'steady the ship' here. I think people were whipping themselves up into a frenzy with the whole Europa League final thing that they forgot how :censored: a manager he is.

Just think a few years ago we were beating the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan away from home. It's crazy how far you can drift in a such a short space of time. Obviously not keeping pace with the teams around you with spending is going to hurt but bringing in Roy seems to have accelerated our downward spiral.

Just what will the board do. If they don't do anything, there might be some hidden agenda there. Otherwise, no board would continue with a manager like this in order to turn the fans away. Just felt sad for Roy but he is just not up to it. I don't think insult is needed on Roy but we need to admit the truth that he just can't handle it. Arguing who is right or wrong just doesn't matter now. I don't think Ciggy would be a least bit happy even though she is right. We are all suffering from this. Again, just cut loose Roy and move on as this is the only logical thing to do.
