Dechamps would of come if the timing was different.  It wasnt really an option for him leave OM after he already declared he would stay and signed players.  A shame as his a decent young Manager.  His done really well at OM and his got big club experience where expectations are high.  He also doesnt take :censored: from the board.  He left Juve after they mucked him about.  I really think he was close to leaving OM when they let Ben Arfa and Niang go.  If the board wouldnt of signed Remy and Gignac I think Dechamps could of told them his off.

I have to disagree with you nan. You say "if you dare say anything whatsoever against or that you think this or that about Roy this fu.cking our so called best supporters in the world comes into play in loads of posts" I am not talking about criticism. I can handle that. I am talking about constant moaning, mocking and undermining. People posting what others have got to say about Roy to somehow "prove" that hes not good enough. Some people are not giving him a chance and generally being tw@ts because they have an agenda.
I go the match with the same lads Ive gone with for over 20 years. We have discussions, debates and arguments. But I would never expect them to out and out disrespect the manager of LFC. And any cu'nt who boos at a match needs a good hiding.
All Im saying is does it have to be so relentless so soon? He is literally being scrutinised minute by minute. What he does and what he says. I said in a previous post that SOS should stop being so sensitive about the manager calling the "a group of people" Thats what they are for fu'cks sake. Its just to easy to be negative and look for faults, and I believe if this continues it will affect the manager and the players and we will all be fu'cked.

Would have prefered him over Hodgsen any day tbh. Just a shame to look at how bad things are at the club that even a young manager would turn us down. Imagine if this has been just after Istanbul or even a couple of years ago he would have jumped at the chance to come here. Instead we are left with a yes man.

Bav yet again you and others disrespect the manager without any foundation whatsoever. How exactly do you know he's a "yes man"?

The sooner you and the posse drop the character assassination the better.

Mods, after being carded and the rest many times over the years for stuff which was based around the game of football, tactics, selection methods, signings etc, is it now the case that with a new manager everyone has got carte blanche to make sweeping statements about him, completely unsubstantiated, take the p!ss out of him openly etc etc?

If it is the case, why was it not Ok before I don't get it.

No cards were ever handed out for the things you mentioned in your post...please do not mislead the members with any further fabrications of the truth....it's becoming a little tedious now :sleep

well said Mr Moderator he keeps trying to get members carded just because they dont agree with his opinions. i think u should have a separate room for just him and benny.

From Reina:

The Spanish shot-stopper, who has already produced several miraculous saves this season, believes some tough opening fixtures, plus adapting to a new manager and players, has played a part in the Reds' slow start.

"Six points from our first six games is not what we wanted," he told LFC Weekly in an exclusive interview this week.

"People who criticise us about it should look at the fixtures we've had. It has been a difficult start. Arsenal at home and then going to play Manchester City, Manchester United and Birmingham away was never going to be easy.

"Not many teams will go to the City of Manchester Stadium, Old Trafford or St Andrew's and win. Those three teams have very good records at home."

Reina also called for patience as he and his teammates, several of whom are still settling in on Merseyside, get used to operating under Roy Hodgson.

"When you have so many changes moving in a new direction under a new boss, things don't happen instantly. It can take between three and six months before you see improvements. Obviously the quicker we adapt and improve as a team the better it will be for everyone.

"That doesn't just happen overnight. Each of us has to adjust to working in a new way. With the passing of each day I get used to it and what the manager wants. It's the same for all of us. We need to be patient."

The full Reina interview, plus a chat with winger Maxi Rodriguez about Maradona, Messi and Melwood, are in this week's LFC Weekly.

you'd think Pepe's role and what the manager wants from him would be the same as it always has been...

Very true mate  :D

I was just thinking "well said Pepe lad" and getting ready to give it the buttrock until I read your post .

Still at least he agrees about the start. I reckon once we've played Everton, it'll have been just about the most difficult start to a Premiership season we've ever had. I know Everton are bottom, but they certainly won't finish there and for obvious reasons it's a very loseable game for us. Out of the first eight matches, there'll have been only two you would call bankers, WBA at Home and Blackpool at Home. It's imperative we win the second of those this weekend.

The manager should have 2 seasons free from fans judging him a success or failure.

Just let him do his job without all this krap.

Go on Roy :buttrock

The start has been tricky but I really dont see any clear signs of the Manager getting us playing that much differently from last season.  The results have been bad and the performances have been bad and were no more expansive than under Rafa.  What direction is RH taking us in playing wise?  It doesnt look very good to me.

To me, it’s very simple. If you really love LFC, you never, ever disrespect our manager anywhere – be it on a forum, in a pub, at work - anywhere. You just don’t do it. This “Woy” tag that some people can’t help themselves from using is just plain disrespectful – it’s a pi$$ take of our own manager FFS. Then he’s a “yes man” no-hoper who after 5 minutes, some hard opening fixtures as well as the most difficult circumstances to have faced any LFC manager ever, is being written off without a prayer by his own so-called fans.

I’m not saying I was over-joyed at his appointment. I’m not saying he will eventually steer us back to former glories. I’m not saying what we’ve seen so far fills me with joy and uncontained optimism. Along with what is going on with the “owners”, I am frankly scared to death as to where we’re going and where all this might end up.

All I am saying is get behind the man and get behind the team. It can be a fine line in football between despair and success – think how useful the two points that disappeared into thin air when Pepe bungled Arsenal’s equaliser into his own net would have been. Torres’s disallowed goal on Saturday would have stood in 8 games out of 10. There’s four points there in two incidents that have just happened to have gone against us – that would have put us on 10 points and we’d all be feeling a lot better.

I will be there again on Sunday against Blackpool singing my lungs out, and I will be on the march before the game singing just as loud to remove those two cancerous scumbags. If, after a season or two, the manager’s results are showing that he’s clearly not up to the task, then it will be “thank you and goodbye”, but until then so long as the decent people at our club are doing all they can to win on a Saturday afternoon then they can count on my full support.

Anyone who persists in referring to our own manager as “Woy” can feck off and support someone else; I for one will not miss you. These are tough times for LFC – through and the wind and rain and all that – it’s no time for cheap jibes and pi$$ takes of our own manager and writing the guy off before he’s had a decent amount of time to prove himself. Get behind the manager, the team and the protests.

Having players like Gerrard, Torres, Cole, Reina, Miereles, Johnson, Kuyt, Agger et el on a team, i think fans would be expecting more regardless who the manager is. Team with lesser players are playing better than us right now. It is hard for us to accept with the kind of players we have and yet to have results like these. I for one don't feel as bad about losing games only if we show up to play. But most of the time this season, you don't see the players trying as they don't have any clues about what to do. Fans get frustrated seeing their beloved team which used to dominate had now become so low. Having a tough fixture is one thing but we even got beat by a second division team at home. It is of course not completely the manager's fault as the players need to take some responsibility as well. Having said that, do you believe the system Roy is imposing is right with the kind of players we have? Do you think his selection is correct?  A good manager plays with different formation that suit the players we have and not the other way around. No one will complain if his negative tactics is working but the result and effort is not there. In fact, we are playing some of the worse football in years. Of course we don't know what's happening behind the scene but whoever is calling the shot usually will take the blame. This is just the way it is as if it is in work or whatever. So, i don't see why fans (whether they are died hard or casual fans) can't complain or simply just voice their opinion in a forum. We all want our team to do well but if we don't voice out, then there will be no pressure and thus everything will be status quo. Roy is nothing new as he had managed a long time in EPL but only for Mid table team. We know what he is capable of. It may have been a wrong choice after all. Some of you see it as giving more time but some fans like me prefer to do something to fix the problem sooner than later. If it was a wrong decision then why we need to endure and suffer from it. Why not fix it right now as we do have someone better in Kenny who I think may not be a modern's day manager but one thing he can do better is being the inspiration the players needed. I'm not asking Kenny to be a permanent manager but just give it a interim title and see how things go. If we stick with Roy, it will not be pretty. At the end of the day, we will suffer if we can't get 4th place and thus everybody leaves. Why I feel so eager is if players like Reina Torres Gerrard Cole or the so called core players left, we don't have the money and it will take years to assemble some good players together (or possibly may never happens again). Some of you may think i'm being too negative but ask yourself if there is a slightest chance that this will happen. If you hesitated then you would understand how urgent this matter is.
