I'm at the match cheering them all on from the first whistle to the last . So how am I a disgrace and is criticising hodgson on footballing matters now showing disrespect .

Fair enough that's your comeback and you are entitled to it.

Back to the point of the discussion  this morning though, you think Chelsea could win them all, so does Bav. Of course we don't know until they play them (I think they actually play Arsenal in a couple of weeks), but at least it illustrates the point of how difficult the fixtures are/were.

How many points do you think Spurs will get out of the matches? They've already lost AT West Brom, I wouldn't overly fancy them at City, and their record against Man Utd and Arsenal wouldn't fill me with a stack of confidence. Yes they'd hope to beat Sunderland at Home but it's definately no gimme, and they'd hope to beat West Brom in the return ditto. They'd also no doubt hope to beat Birmingham away, but nobody else has managed it for over a year so it obviously can't be easy.

I think spurs will draw at home to arsenal , draw against mancs and Birmingham , beat both Sunderland and west brom and loose to city so 9 points in total

No I'm not saying it can only get better Bav. I think on the balance of probability it WILL get better as we will end up on 38 points at the end of the season if it doesn't, but I'm not saying everything is about to get fantastic.

The reason I aren't saying that, is because I don't know. The fact is though mate, neither do you or anybody else. A new manager needs time, he hasn't had any yet, so nobody knows.

No your just paranoid ;) thats the fourth person to speak about Hodgsons tactics in the press since saturday.

And none of them are praising them, its a massive worry but those of us that watched Fulham over 2 seasons knew that already. Oh well all we can do is hope for a new owner in October and a better manager to arrive with him.

Youre a laugh a minute arent you?

Fulham are 7th with no fit strikers so whats there to laugh at?

The funniest thing (in a strange not humerous way) is you telling us that Fulham are 7th. After 6 games! Thats known as "clutching at straws."
You use Fulhams position to try and point out the deficiencies of the manager of Liverpool Football Club, or "this fella" as you so disrespectfully call him. Youve got bavlondon talking about "ugly no hope football" and GYBS just doing his "Ive got an opinion and every right to express it" nonsense.
Seriously guys, grow the fu'ck up. Mick says hes not defending our manager. The question is, why the fu'ck should he have to?! The numbskulls who are "just telling it how it is" are seriously in danger of undermining the manager and Fu*king up the club. What makes you think that being disrespectful on here, in the ground, in the pub, in work, wherever, isnt going to have an effect? Because for every daft tw@t statement or calling him "Woy" it builds up like a tidal wave. If we accept that he can be mocked and lambasted, then we are saying that LFC is nothing but a bunch of scally wan'kers who give the most stick to their own. The skanks and the cockney must be creaming their kecks at seeing this go on.
Mick is right, maybe you just dont get the concept of the "soul" of the club. You people talk about Shankly, Paisley and our history. Do you think either of these great men would condone what you are doing to the manager?
I shouldnt have to but I will defend him, not because hes doing great, or because Im a bull sh'itter who just wanted Benitez gone. But because he is, and will be for he foreseeable future OUR manager. So when you are taking the pi'ss out of him, you are taking the pi'ss out of Liverpool Football Club and that includes me, and thousands like me, whether you agree or not, whether you like it or not.

Do you know what its doing my head in now all this reference to best fans in the world sarasticly , if you dont think Roy is good enough, Well im just gonna say YES we are still the best fans in the world wether you wanted or ,support Roy on a FOOTBALL FORUM  or not, because what matters is what goes on at the match, Maybe some of these who are making these sarky remarks should actualy get themselves the game, travel up and down the counrty like some do, get to meetings ,protests , and show all this support for Roy and getting rid of the Yanks instead of sitting and just trying to score Brownie points. This best fans is mentioned in nearly every post now , So put your money were your mouths are and start being one , I class myself as a good supporting Red but because i dont believe Roy was good enough or still dont think hes up to it, remarks are made .Its a myth that everyone who suported Rafa when he was boss is against Roy a complete myth, and its just so wrong to keep harping on about  it,   Fed up with it now .

Very well said.  Internet forums are for discussion and ranting.  Match day is where the manager should and does get support.  Every match i have seen on the TV, the crowd have been supporting the manager/team.  And thats the way it should be.

Id like to get to more matches meself, but its more diffcult being from Dublin cos of the money, travel, accomodation etc.

If you mean me, I have supported LFC for over 40 years man and boy, home and away and still have a season ticket.
Im fed up too, but Im not sitting on here, in the match, or in the pub and having moaning tw@ts going on and on and on and on about how sh'it Woy is, hes a yes man, he shouldnt have got the job, he should be gone by christmas, his tactics are sh'it, he didnt stand up to scotch hole, he criticised the SOS, ad Fu*king nauseum.
Honestly dont these people get fed up yapping like little stupid mutts? Does whining and whinging ever make things right? What happened to supporting the team, the manager, the club, sticking together, YNWA?
We know people are angry and upset, but the sheer volume of abuse and sneaky, snidy comments is getting hard to bear. And as Ive said before these people need to be so Fu*king careful that their relentless campaign doesnt take hold, because if it does, and the manager is undermined, then the team will crumble and we will be in sh'it street without a paddle. The whole house of cards will collapse and the championship will really be beckoning.
Be careful what you wish for you "truth-sayers" you...

The captaion has said publicly that they need time to adjust to the new tactics, training and ethos at the club.

After a matter of what can still be measured in weeks it is barmy to start calling for his head.

i agree that a new manager needs time to prove himself.
but there are also numerous occassion that a new manager came in, n the team improve immediately.
ie) Harry Redknapp, Spurs, relegation to champs league.

i think half a season will be enu time to judge Hodgson, i fancy King Kenny as caretaker.

my main complain is that the team doesnt play any different from Rafa's last season.

Thats a good point...

However when HR took over at Spurs they were in a false position, in the bottom three with a squad of players easily good enough to improve. Really when you think about it Harry could not lose, it was a win win.

Our squad was used to winning. Recent CL success, and significant investment had been available for Rafa. The squad as it was also was playing at close to (not quite there but close) to its full potential.

Roy has far less margin for improvement. He has gone about his job with dignity, and is going about the massive task of basically changing the complete approach of the team from the ground up. This takes time.

Harry only had to turn up to improve. I think IMHO there is quite a difference.

Thommo no one mentioned you im talking in general , as you say your getting fed up with snide remarks well it works both ways to mate , if you dare say anything whatsoever against or that you think this or that about Roy this fu.cking our so called best supporters in the world comes into play in loads of posts, You say you go the game ,be honest have you not seen the supporters back Roy , have you not seen the crowd back the team , no different from last season imo, It made me laugh though when you people saying media pick up on forums and negativity from posters , that was the reason Broughton gave last season ,well the media and press didnt think so. feck what the people who go the match think, Listen half of those on here who are making Roy a martre and saying all this about best fans in the world ill guarentee you if Pelligrini, or Deschamps would of been appointed and those who backed our previous manager would of supported any of them then you would of seen it different again,
It doesnt matter how long youve been going the match wether its 40 years or 4 we all want want best for us , and some dont think Roy is whats best , thats the bee all an end of really . But this best supporters dig from loads is doing my head in

and youve actualy just said it yourself becareful of a campaign ,

Would have prefered him over Hodgsen any day tbh. Just a shame to look at how bad things are at the club that even a young manager would turn us down. Imagine if this has been just after Istanbul or even a couple of years ago he would have jumped at the chance to come here. Instead we are left with a yes man.

Bav yet again you and others disrespect the manager without any foundation whatsoever. How exactly do you know he's a "yes man"?

The sooner you and the posse drop the character assassination the better.

Mods, after being carded and the rest many times over the years for stuff which was based around the game of football, tactics, selection methods, signings etc, is it now the case that with a new manager everyone has got carte blanche to make sweeping statements about him, completely unsubstantiated, take the p!ss out of him openly etc etc?

If it is the case, why was it not Ok before I don't get it.

No cards were ever handed out for the things you mentioned in your post...please do not mislead the members with any further fabrications of the truth....it's becoming a little tedious now :sleep

chelsea don't appear to be as invincible as you make out...after the weekend result against Man city, I feel it best to see how they fair against a few of the better teams in the league over the next month or so before claiming they will win the league in a canter

yeah the weekend result wasnt the best for them - the game was on in the golf club and the game was very dull first half with only a couple of chances from chelsea but none from city - second half city took their one chance . At the moment thou city are so up and down with their form , arsenal as inconsistent as ever and man utd struggling it makes it a bit more wide open - if we could of got a few more positive results we could of been in that mix easily . When every team is playing on form with a full squad i can see only city getting close to Chelsea with Mancs just behind .
