It's the inconsistency which gets me. Now Ciggs made the comment about Roy going on holiday to Wales. It's not important or anything, but it does illustrate for me a glaring difference. If Rafa had taken Montse to Wales, he would have been "one of us" and if he'd had a pint it'd been "good on yer lar" and "top man". If he'd gone to a working mans, all the better.

I don't think it's important where people go o holiday or what they drink. I also don't think a person who earns in excess of a million quid a year (Benitez or Hodgson) is one of us. It's all b0ll0cks.

Ive got no problem with people going to Wales on holiday atall I went meself last year to Rhyl but 99% of  people who go to Llandudno go for the bingo halls and are mostly retired pensioners.  :rasp

Whats Shanks got to do with Hodgson?

About as much as any previous manager has to do with him, namely feck all.

and on that note I think it best that all who seem to compare this manager to that manager at this club and that club in this country and in that country in this decade and that decade should sit back and say lets forget the past and concentrate on the future......I am sick of hearing rafa, roy maureen who did this who did that who's gonna not win this even though he did that ...and he won't win this and he can't compare and he is this but thats not better than him ....

Let's wait and see our future not inter or Real M and if possible we can hope that the doodle dandies will depart asap...

Ciggs I'm not having a pop about the holiday comment, I'm just saying that IMHO we all worry about stuff which doesn't matter. It's like when Rafa gave all the money to charity. Lovely gesture and all that, proves that he's got a good heart on him and all that definately, but in terms of him being a football manager it doesn't matter. It didn't matter either that his interviews were a bit stilted, it's only the performace on the pitch which matters.

Now many have pointed out that although Roy interviews well, it'll mean feck all if we get beat every week and of course they are spot on. I just think if we all just concentrated on how the manager is doing in terms of results then a lot of the more heated arguments on here would be avoided.

I went to Tintern Abbey once, stayed in a little cottage with the family. Flipping lovely it was too, apart from the mother in law being over from New Zealand. Fecking hell she's a bit different  :no .

Benny i think you are totally incorrect in what you had said.

People ARE judging him before he has even started the job.

I have judged Hodgson as a manager based on his previous record over 30 years and I can't see what is wrong with being worried about the appointment and I will continue to worry about it until the real stuff of the prem starts as that is the true test . That doesn't mean I won't support him nor will I insult him but that doesn't mean posters can tell people who aren't claiming he is the messiah to go and support another club
