First five games, then we'll decide :D We play three out of the teams who will probably finish in the top four, two of them away, and we'll base our decision on that?

Roy will be hugely reassured I'm sure . I've got a better idea, lets wait until the end of the season and see if we can get higher than 7th, because judging him after five games is silly. If he wins all five of his first five Premeirship matches it would be ridiculous to claim he is the new Shankly, just as it would be silly to make such negative claims.

The sight of people being so grudging in their praise, being so keen to get the opportunity to tell us they were right all along isn't pretty.

Shankly's first 5 games in charge saw him start with 2 loses conceding 7 goals and scoring 0 in the process, then 3 wins.

Whats Shanks got to do with Hodgson?
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

bgmick mentioned him a bit earlier and as we were talking about the first five games i thought i'd just look at shanks first five games. nothing more.

The adorers of today, will be the punnishers of tomorrow.

I'll keep the support for when he really needs it, because he'll need it.

Am neither an adorer of today, nor will I be a punisher of tomorrow. I simply wish him to succeed. What I know from having seen his Inter, Swiss and Fulham teams is, he will not win an award for any dynamism in tactics. Time will tell if what we needed at this stage was a steady, establishment guy or a more innovative/dynamic type...

Things in common:
1. He is the manager of Liverpool Football Club and therefore should be treated with the same respect as when Shankly arrived.
B. He arrives at a time when the club is on its knees and has lost its way
and
4. He is a no-nonsense football man through and through and has no hidden agenda

Will that do?

Whenever a manager is managing our great club - he should always be treated with respect - shame it never happens .

There were some fans that disrespected rafa which wasnt very nice but the majority just wanted a change.

I dont think he was badly treated at all personally.

Alot of fans where just really frustrated.

Inthinknthe minority who wanted a change didn't disrespect him while not happy with him but IMO a fair amount of people disrespected him - you only have to look through threads about him and you see the balanced posters like yourself and saint were capable of still showin respect to him while wanting a change but a fai amount weren't capable of it
