Almost all players are mercenaries. As long as the club gives them what they demand they are happy to proclaim their "love" for the club.

Ok obviously to a certain degree they are all mercenaries, as its their jobs. We all work for something.....

But then there are the hungry Oportunists, in which this little fella falls right into.

Mascherano should have gone last summer in all honesty and certainly he should go now. The club don't need characters like him around who only joined because of Benitez and then wanted to up and leave as soon as Benitez was pushed out.

I understand what you're saying, but had he gone last season that possibly may have allowed Rafa more money to waste. It's in safer hands if Roy is allowed to spend IMO. Assuming of course Roy does get it to spend (fecking Purslow :angry:

he wanted out when Rafa was STILL HERE. The Barca bid last summer turned his head he's wanted out ever since. Totally agree though, we don't need players like him.

If we are offered the £25m as is being widely reported then sell him.

That will Roy more than an adequate funds to replace him with and also have some left over.

why not give them masch for sneijder. I just wish some other clubs would come in for mash because the longer it goes the price will stay lower. Hes got to be worth 30 million but id rather have sneijder anyday

i think they would want more than 30 mill for sneijder. He had a great world cup and is playing in top form.

At least he's come out now and told Hodgson that he wants to leave - all over BBC sport and Skysports now.

Good player, but he is replaceable. Get someone in who actually wants to play for us.

No surprise really its been on the cards and the club will have no doubt had a few replacements on a list already. Hes a bit of an odd one Mash, we had a right job doing deal to bring him here in the first place what with his dodgy contract issues and all, and then hes kinda always played alright without doing enough to slag him off or praise him too much. He is a player that much sought after but from what I have seen perhaps a little over rated to be honest. He will attract interest and good money so I have no doubt we will get our cash back on him and be able to do enough with the fee to ensure he doesnt leave a gap in the side.
