Will the board agree a player exchange, or will they just want the money?

The little fella wants out, I really like the idea of Cambiasso, don't know how realistic that would be though,

With the gaffers scandinavian experience Cristian Poulsen seems a more believable a replacement. (just a hunch)

For me the he is the best defensive midfielder.. was great for Argentina at WC too. Really sad he is leaving.

Hope we get gd money for him and bring in another class replacement.

Goodbye and thanks Masha..

Only player exchange is acceptable, the money will go anywhere but replacing him. By the way, thanks Masch.

we're gonna end up with Muntari here aren't we?

I'm not THAT bothered about this news to be honest, we all knew it was coming and Masch didn't have enough of an attacking element to his game. He was absolutely top drawer at what he did and I would keep him if it was up to me but I don't think this is tragic. Depends on what Roy does with what he's given I suppose

Well look at what he has been given so far , with the money we have made from player sales, look at how much we have brought in and how much we have spent , throw this on top and theres a big wedge of cash that should be in that kitty,

SHOULD BE ANYWAY

thats my main reservation Nanny. If we were guaranteed to put the cash back into the squad it wouldnt be THAT bad a transfer for both side but if we get nothing back then we're only going to go in one direction.

At least it will give an indicator as to whether we would get anything out of a potential Torres sale

Cambiasso for me anyway is the only one who comes close to Javier, but i cant see Inter letting him go, hes also surrounded by Argentinians there

I always thought Maxi was signed to try and help him settle

What you said about Muntari i said a couple of weeks ago in the rumours thread , because id heard we had been looking at him. so that deal wouldnt suprise me at all ,him plus cash, i dont like him though and in my eyes he is a step down from Javier

easily a step down for me Nan. I'd hold out for Cambiasso like

So even if we get £15m for transfers out of £25m you won't be pleased that a wantaway is sold?!?

Sorry, but you can't just close the door to transfers for big money on the premise we might not get money in. If he does want a move then send him packing, any money coming in is needed and we can't rebuild a squad on pennies, especially with likely THREE full-backs leaving or have gone already and spending £SIX MILLION to replace just one of them. It doesn't balance, it needs to balance so we have to get money from somewhere. Selling bits n pieces off here and there won't get us very far, sell a few players for £1m-£4m doesn't raise much cash fast and you really will struggle to replace like for like in terms of money and quality.

Oh and if the figure for Figaro is correct then Woy isn't exactly pulling absolute bargain rabbits out the hat. That might be a fair price, probably a bit much for me, but as I anticipated a "limited funds" manager has come in and is no more shrewd etc with transfers than the "less limited funds" managers. I'm sure Rafa could have signed Figaro for £6m, not a lot less than he signed Dossena for - and before anyone says, who could have predicted Dossena would be such a massive flop, it happens, transfers come with no guarantees of success
