I think the transfers will be in priority of finance as opposed to anything else

I was initially very unsure about Roy Hodgeson, but I am really warming to him, he seems very level headed and much more like a Liverpool manager of old. If he pulls off the Joe Cole transfer, keeps Gerrard and Torres, signs a good left back, and a back up striker think we might be more competative than people think. A lot of ifs I know but from total despair I am beginning to think this guy might actually be very good for us.

Benitez did not like this way of doing things so was always at odds with his managers but Hodgson appears to have no problem with it. Im sure both Purslow and Hodgson have agreed to go about things this way and it ensures both roles are clear cut and defined rather than crossing over. Its how we always worked to be honest, even way back in the day with John Smith and Peter Robinson working in tandem on recruitment for Paisley and that so theres no problem.
