The point is he is a good manager

Moyes is also a good manager nobody is doubting that - might not like but he still good at his job

We have just sacked a manager thats actually won the CL and the UEFA Cup and is one of the most experienced managers in Europe, something Hodgson is not.

This post is not because I am p!ssed off about rafa leaving but people must be stupid if they think Roy is better manager than Rafa.

Roys a hell of a nice fella dont get me wrong and never has a bad word to say about us, but I cannot understand Purs-low sacking a manager who's actually won things in the past 5 years to someone who hasnt won a trophy for the last 10 years apart from the LMA.

When managers get sacked BIG clubs usually hire someone better than the manager they have just sacked, but this is like 10 steps backwards. As I said I like Roy as a person just not as our manager maybe he will grow on me I duno, but Ive never felt so deflated going into a season just like I couldnt wait for the last one to finish things havent got better, I feel 10 times worse.

Ciggy Benitez didn't win the thing he was brought to Liverpool for i.e. A title.

Hence why a large per cent of the fans wanted him out...... it was year 6 of a 5 year plan.
All we can do is hope ......
Hodgson won't do any worst a job in the league than his two predecessors. Hopefully Roy will get the very best out of the squad we have at present and lets go from there eh

Rafas past achievements counted for nothing last season
He had made the worse decisions of his tenure and was taking us backward instead of forward. Progression my ar'se!
He had to go for the future of the club as the players and most of the fans had lost faith in his ability to manage properly. Granted, Hodgson doesnt have the cv Rafa had but he hasnt got the wierd ways neither (hopefully). He seems calm and knowledgable and will bring stability and order. Rafa, last season at least, brought chaos, frustration and misery.

Onward and upward

The negativity surrounding the news that he may be our next manager is bewildering! The club is in a really sorry state at the moment due to factors we all know about but at least we can all get behind the man who was voted Manager of the Year last season in the toughest League in the world!!!

If he is so good why has he won next to nothing of any significance - winning manager of the year is a nothing award - he won it because he got to a final !

And why do you think that was? Ok selling Alonso was the start of his demise, but we should have bought Tevez and Silva and the whole team was deflated when these players did not arrive.

We all know Rafa argued constantly with Gob & Sh!te, over money and taking the club forward, is Roy going to be amune to this?

Al Fayed is a good man and loves Roy not like twit & Tw@tter who will promise him the world and give him fuck all, I hope he knows what he's letting himself in for with a board who dont know their @rse from their elbow, and he needs to watch his back for all them knives that will be stabbed in it.

I can understand your fear and dissillusionment but we have to be positive.
Rafa is gone whatever people thought of him and we have a new man to try and get us back on track
Criticising or ridiculing him before the season starts is not going to make us better.
Hes here to help us
Lets all remember that

See that's what really grates on me  ??? its this  insistence by certain posters who probably know infinitely less  than the speculative media we suffer in this country assuming that they speak for a "Large majority of fans " well hate to rain on your parade and with the greatest respect  but you don't ... what you should have typed was a large swell of posters and radio 5 listeners wanted Rafa out ...... but the hard core base of fans that sit on the Kop realised his importance in giving the fans a voice .....
Now that would be the truth if we are being perfectly honest  ???

What had Shankly won before he was appointed manager of Liverpool?
