The only reason why I think he has said he wants to saty is for the big pay day.  Cause at the end of next season his contracts up.

I agree and what does that say about him.  He hasnt played regular football for ages yet has never demanded to be sold to find 1st team football elsewhere.

I bet Voronin was stunned when Liverpool offered him a contract.

A very poor piece of business and another slice of extreme mediocraty on the Anfield books.

Honestly, it wears you down keep on saying the same things but we just never ever learn do we.

In fairness to Voronin he is probably getting some stick which he isn't really due. If Kuyt was scoring regularly, or we were speaking to Crouch, then Voronin would at best be a small bit part player. We would occsionally give him twenty minutes when we were 3-0 up in order to ensure he remained fit should he be needed through injuries.

As it is though, Kuyt looks about as likely to score as Reina and Crouch is the goofy kid who nobody talks to, so Voronin gets a run. Not only does he get a run out, but it's a run out in a team which is patently obviously not firing, and the contageous fever of confidence crisis has engulfed him. He's not a bad player, and probably a good pro who would do a Kevin Davis like job at somewhere like Bolton. It's also worth remembering that he was signed before the Americans came in with the promise of cash. I guess it is quite a sobering thought though when you consider he was brought in to replace Fowler, who while being no more than shadow of his glorious past, was still in a different league altogether to Voronin it has to be said.

Quote (Ciggy @ Jan. 12 2008,17:46)
Can someone please explain why this player is playing for us?

He is supposed to be a striker but is never in the box.

He gets picked more than Crouch who offers more of a goal threat than him.

He has been sh!te the last few months and would struggle to even get a start for Wigan.

So why the :censored: is he playing for LFC?

Ive never done this never even when Cisse was slated even when he scored 21 goals more than this clown offers.
Kuyt or Baros Ive never disliked them either but they have been slated to death but Voronin come on what was Rafa thinking getting him?

Its not my style until today Ive seen enough I hope he is sold or goes out on loan this month and he never puts on the red shirt again.

If John Aldridge had not displayed such hatred for Vorinon today this post would never of happened.

Am not having ago but some people cant make there own minds up about some things.

Believe me when I say that in the first 45mins Voronin produced one of the worst displays in a LFC shirt Ive ever seen, I dont know anything about what Aldo said but me and the guys who watched it were disgusted. Arbeloa was taken off at half time (he was poor admittedly as well) but watch the MOTD or football 1st tonight and see if Voronin completed a pass to a team mate ONCE in the 1st half. and he made it all the way to 77 minutes, He took Yossi of before him as well, all is not well at Anfield
