ok, so we've done pairings but who do you feel is the best individual striker? I have included only one player per team, the one I think is the best in the team (form is temporary, class is permanent). I've included Saha as a Fulham player simply because he has not played for his new team yet. I would have included Rooney but I felt others had done more over a longer period (same goes for Crespo & co)

Thiery Henry is the best, but Michael Owen isn't far behind

for class thierry henry!!

but for sheer determination and goalscoring ability it is still Alan Shearer.

WHO COULD VOTE AGAINST HENRY ... CLASS ACT..
I AGREE WITH DOM1 SHEARER IS A FIGHTER AND HE PLAYS THE WHOLE 90 MINS UNLIKE ALOT OF OTHER PLAYERS...
When you get the ball, I want you to beat a couple of men and smash the ball into the net, just the same way you used to at Bury," said Shankly. Lindsay replied: "But Boss that wasn't me, it was Bobby Kerr." Shankly turned to Bob Paisley and said: "Christ Bob, we've signed the wrong player."

Henry beats rvn any day of the week IMO. I see rvn scored from his usual distance yesterday. I would hope to knock in 20 a season playing for the mancs if I hung around the six yard box. *****, it's harder for him to miss the target than score most of the time. He should get sponsorship from a coach company - TAPPINS :D

Emile Heskey :D  ....no seriously Emile is world class.
Definately Henry, nobody will argue with that.

Funny how the absence of large quantities of manu fans leaves the poll massively in favour of the best striker ???

no bias here, Henry is the best striker. If he was a little more selfish I think he'd net 30-40 goals every season. The quality of his goals his also very high, rvn's tap-ins are a joke in comparison. Most Henry goals have something classy about them, all I ever see rvn do is knock the ball in from close range

My two cents in descending order:

1. Henry
2. Van Nistelrooy
3. Shearer (on current form)
4. Owen (on current form)
5. Saha
6. Angell
7. Anelka
8. Hassailbank
9. Gudjohnson
10. Forsell
11. Crespo
12. Rooney (but rising)
13. Bellamy (good but could score more goals)

I don't rate James Beattie at all and he's a flash in the pan, like Kevin Phillips and Marcus Steward before him.
Jolly Bob Grumbine.

henry by a long shot. i agree though that owen could be as good if he played for arsenal. shearer is still awesome (are you listening sven). i really rate angel as well. the best header of a ball in the premiership along with shearer.
