im liking all the respect shearers getting. henry is different class. hes the best in the world. and how anybody can say ruud is better than alan is just silly. he was even in the team of the season.

i have to say that shearer is a player that i have always respected and admired for obvious reasons. the fact that he has had a couple of serious injuries and has also adjusted his game to compensate for a lack of pace is superb imo. without him toon would be in the bottom 6.

i could understand his decision to quit england in 2000 but nobody was ever going to be able to replace him. he's in a different league to any other english striker out there, as his goal against chelsea proved.

HESKEY :D
SERIOUSLY THOUGH, THERE SHOULD ONLY BE ONE CHOICE IN THIS POLL. HENRY IS THE BEST THERE IS AND NOT JUST IN THE PREM'SHIP. EVERY ASPECT OF HIS IS BRLLIANT(PACE, GOALSCORING, SHOOTING, CREATIVITY, CHARACTER, SKILL, PASSING, DETERMINATION, INFLUENCE, DRIBBLING,OFF THE BALL). THE PERFECT 10 IN EVERY CASE!! ALSO NICE TO SEE ROBBIE KEANE GET A FEW VOTES, UP THE REPUBLIC!!
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard.

i agree that over the last couple of years Henry has been far and away the best but its strange considering his heading is worse than the vast majority of non league strikers
