I guess I probably shouldnt be slating him as I havent even seen the lad play but he isnt in the Italy team right? Im sure there is a chance that he is decent enough but still didnt make it on the squad. But I doubt he is top or world class as surley he would have been included. I wonder what the chances are of him having an absolute binder of a season next year and then all of us coming back to this thread.

Carragher unfortunately was up against two outstanding players. Terry and Ferdinand are the best two CBs England have, they are my first choice.  Carragher would have been my third choice without question.  Terry and Ferdinand have more to their game, they are better all round players.

Just like to say, riise hasnt been playin much lately, although i know Rafa knows what he's doing, he has only made one mistake, given a chance he can still be good. I think we should still respect him as a good player.

True great players dnt always make there national squads look at players like agbonlahor ashton and these kinda players. But the goal he scored looks decent someone mentioned that riise is on his way out probely lily seein as he had a poor season and is not likly to get an better i would agree great servent tho i have to say, one question u lot missed out is that where does this leave aurelio i mean after a por season he really came out in the last few months and i was really impressed tbh would like to hear others views on this
