Liverpool Football Club - Games

Excellent 3 points and some of the bad decisions in final third seem to be because they know another will be coming soon after.

Complacency aside we beat a very good outfit away and just need to keep this momentum going as long as we can.

Don't like the chemistry between the two, and it's not just today but I've seen this over the last 3~4 games already

Midfield didnt suck mate. Milner, Keita and Wijnaldum played very well. Our front line sucked!

Must be 25 years since we won the first five games of a season?

I was obviously being sarcastic there mate, as a dig towards some posters who think that our mf isn't good enough and would be bossed by the likes of Dembele and co. (who couldn't stop giving the ball away to us today).

Gini and Milner were MOTM today for me, and if the strikers were as good as them the scoreline would have been a lot different.

Goalie blunder? wtf? he had no chance..someone on the left side should have covered Lamela quick and fast..

Milner was immense but it was a game without MF on both sides..

I was talking about previous match against Leicester where despite that blunder we still got 3 points

One swallow doesn't make a summer, we weren't great today but Tottenham happened to be worse, interesting enough Dembele was so poor I actually checked his age, he turned 31 in July and it showed.

What, he actually aged so much in just one season from the Dembele who ran us ragged last season!??

Yakka mate you are becoming one miserable for. I have almost given up posting because the forum is littered with shight. i have always respected you as a poster but recently you have become a tad morose. 15 out of 15 !! If that doesn't put a smile on you face `i don't know what will.

Spurs were very lucky to walk away with a 2-1 scoreline. We completely bossed the game. Becker had virtually fk all to do. Our defence was excellent. The midfield did ok. I accept upfront we could have been better but I'm certainly not going to have a go at any of the players. Last year this lot thrashed us at Wembley.

Wow who would have thought 5 wins out of 5, 15 points on the table. I wonder when was the last time that happened. Absolutely chuffed with the result i didn't expect us to win so well done lads.

I've probably seen more false dawns than you have had hot dinners mate, I've seen us top at Christmas and blow it, I've seen us finish fourth in a 'two horse race' and I've even seen us blow it when we were 5 points clear with only 3 games left.
My instincts tell me that our midfield isn't good enough to get the job done over a 9 month (not 5 game) season, particularly when we have CL football to contend with as well. As I have said my one hope is that Fabinho comes into the team and significantly improves us (or maybe we go out and get this Rabiot in January) but even today, great result but our midfield wasn't outstanding or anything, we hit a hell of a lot of long balls and a lot of balls were just helped on. It was scrappy rather than inspired.
That's how I feel mate, do you want me to lie to you and say I think our midfield is great or something?

Ironically, I'm a lot more concerned in that attack of ours more than anything, missing sitters and making bad decisions in all of our 5 games this season. Firmino looked like he might not have been match fit so he can be excused but Mane and Salah should be doing a lot better with the chances that they're getting. If anyone deserves to be sat on the bench is one of those two.

The mf has been doing fine and, ironically again, I think we might have the best defence in the league and thank god for that otherwise we would have been no where near the top of the league.
