Liverpool Football Club - Games

not wanting to be negative but I feel we'll get turned over 2-0 tonight but scrape through 5-4 agg. I can feel it's going to be a nervous game. If we start free scoring tonight like some think we will then I'll show my ar$e in the Everton shop window.

Don't worry boys and girls, I estimate Roma have got more to worry about than us..

Just like the last round, I'd rather be three goals up than three goals down.

Romas manager has said they are not going to sit back tonight, so this will be proper end to end entertainment.

Expect high drama folks :buttrock

It's 7pm and the game kicks off in 8 hours. I'm sitting in front of the tv already to secure my spot and you what what, I'm going to have a large gin and tonic right now to set the tone.

My prediction for the match...

I think Roma will take the lead similar to City game and we will just about keep them at bay till half time.

2nd Half we will equalise making it 1-1 and then Roma will take the lead again 2-1 making tie 6-4.

Roma will try to score another but our ferocious attack will equalise on the night 2-2.

Then to add the cherry on the cake we will lead 3-2 on the night with 10 mins to go.

FT Roma 2-3 Liverpool (4-8)

I Can't see us NOT scoring tonight. If they are foolish enough to play the high line again like they did at Anfield, then that is suicide against us. :nod

I'm just praying we don't get any injuries or suspensions to our thin squad.

The key will be getting through that first half relatively unscathed. In the second half, after they've knackered out a bit, we'll hit them on the break and deal the final blow. Like the game at the Etihad, I certainly wouldn't commit to attack early on.

Dunno about you lads, but I am sh1tt1ng myself inside out.

You'll all be delighted to know that I'm not going to stream it and watch. Its the old wireless in the garage for me! The highlights later on will do.
I'm not superstitious, but I have a habit of streaming in on the pc just as the opposition find form and stick a few goals past us.
For example, the first leg at Anfield..... at 5-0, cruising and threatening to get three more, I decided it was safe to go in from the garage and watch the last ten minutes..... You know the rest.
I just hope that decision doesn't cost us.  :wwww
I really wish I could feel confident. Fingers crossed.
COME ON REDMEN!!!!!

Always get a slight tingle up my spine on these occassions , but am feeling confident we can score over there.

The key is to play our own game and not get bogged down trying to only defend. We play the first 15 -20 mins nice and solid while looking for the openings and then start looking to take the game to them is what I hope to see.

Predict 1-3 to the Redmen  :buttrock

Not that nervous really if we are good enough we will go through and we should after setting it up at Anfield.

Cant be any excuse with a 3 goal buffer and the finest front 3 in Europe.

Karius has looked a little bit shaky in his last few games, hope he manages to keep his s[hit] together for this one, last thing we need in our biggest game for 11 years is our keeper unraveling.
Come on you reds.
