We need to close there down more quicker, and give them less space. Maybe need to change it a little for the 2nd half.

Lucas and Spearing are total $*i*e that's the difference. We have no midfield they have more then we can handle. Any team that will press us high will make life for us almost impossible ,towards the end they started defending deep and that is where we created chances ,Spearing and Carrol should have found the target.

Lucas has been uncharacteristically quiet. Suarez needs to stay on his feet or he will continue to get nothing. Modric playing really well. Carroll and Suarez need to get closer to each other. They play so far apart that neither of them are ever there to help each other out.

Well, we started the game half asleep and finally woke up by the end of the half. Not sure we've got enough in midfield without Mereiles or Gerrard to pull this one out of the bag.

Perhaps if Maxi dropped into the centre with Suarez and Kuyt outside of Carroll.
