Well that’s prob our worst half for a long time - no one on their game at the moment , giving the ball away too much especially when it goes into the front three. The City back line are being very aggressive but we need to be a bit more paitent

City constantly targeting our right has paid off.

Lovren and young Alexander Arnold are having trouble coping with the pressure, especially Lovren.

Goal was clearly his fault.

We should stick to a winning team and not go back to the safe options. I really don't like both Milner and Henderson in the same line up

If lovren can’t take the pressure bring him off. We’re the better team but VVD can’t play both centre back roles! +2 mins extra

We were a inch from being 1-0, we have hit the post.. and looked in little danger. But a lapse in concentration from Lovren and we are somehow 1-0 down. He will always bottle it in the big game he can't concentrate for 90 minutes it's impossible for him.. he has all the tools to be a brilliant CB apart from his brain.

I agree Milner looks leggy it was a big ask for him to be 100% for this after just coming back. I'd get Fabinho on holding and let Gini and Hendo be the legs in midfield. We need to press hard 2nd half and make them make mistakes.

I don't think we're too far off here, we've been a bit unlucky, they haven't. We could have been one up against 10 men on another day. If we can connect a bit more in the second half we can still win this.

Pretty even first half.
We have been a bit sloppy and Klopp needs to sort out our right hand side.. All their threat is down that side.. Sane and Aguero are loading up against TAA

They haven't done a lot wrong, TBH.  Just a brainfart from Lovren

Shame Mane shot didn't go in i wonder how Citys composure would've been.

Oh well 1-0 down still plenty footy to play common lads lets get something from this.

Even first half imo, nerve racking to watch whenever City attack.

Just saw the 1st half highlights.

Yep that’s a definite red card to Kompany.

Referee has literally kept them in the game, deplorable decision especially with Mane was sent off for less a few years back in the same fixture.

Which winning team ? We have won with Hendo and Milner in the line up

It’s all fine margins at the moment

Our midfield is absolutely rubbish, all huff and puff with zero creativity, I say huff and puff but they're not even getting to the loose balls first, we are second to everything. We are struggling to play out from the back as well which never reflects well on your midfield.
They are not the only one's underperforming, Arnold has been awful, every time City get in down that right hand side he is not even in the picture, Lovren is struggling to cope as well.
I must admit I knew it would be tough but I didn't expect us to be this bad, this performance is reminiscent of those European away games from earlier on in the season where we couldnt even pass it 5 yards without putting it out for a throw in.
The only positive is that surely we can't be that bad again, come on Liverpool ffs.
