LIVERPOOL vs Man City 3/01/2019 8pm

Liverpool Football Club - Games

They hit the post and it went in, we hit the post and then it lead to a non goal.

We didn’t play well but there wasn’t much of a difference between us.

It’s all about how we react now.

Good to know Gomez and Matip should be back very soon.

People are going to overreact pathetically now

Now we need to react from this and get straight back into winning games

Thrilling game

Hendersson  :help

Even Lovren runs circles around him and that says alot.

Bit of a sickner, but we'll recover and city will slip up again.

It was a tough game and fine margins, but sadly we somehow missed a near certain goal and Lovren had his usual brain fart.  Onwards and upwards.

The scoreline flattered us imo, City were by far the better side.
The game was lost the moment he handed in the team sheets, I know to my cost that the bookies are very rarely wrong and we moved out in the betting as soon as the sheets went in.

We haven't been that sloppy in a loooooong time.

I think the pressure to get a result told in the end.

Lovren put is in danger more times than I care to remember and was asleep for the first goal.
Klopp has to start Fabinho ahead of Milner in games like these - he is a different class of MF when he is on top form.

Lovren needs to be benched as soon as Matip or Gomez are back and preferably sold in the summer. Simply not good enough when he is under pressure.

Lovren at his brain fart best. Sane bullied TAA again. Midfield of Henderson, Milner and Wjnaldum couldnt control the park. Half an inch prevented us from going ahead which would have changed the game. Two very good strikes by world class players in Aguero and Sane.

Sigh... hate to say it but they deserved the win...

Thought it was Gini worst game tonight and Milner just didn’t look fit - Fabinho should have started instead of him

Easier said than done against City at the Etihad  :(

Mane should have put that chance away. Someone mentioned fine margins.

An Aguero type player for us would make us virtually unplayable imo.
May sound a bit mad but I think we may need an upgrade on Mane next year- a genuine out and out striker.

Three exceptionally good goals and a very unlucky miss from Mané showed just how narrow the marginns are. Credit to both teams. Cracking game. City kept Salah out of it. Not going to whinge about certain individuals. 22 games played. Top of the table and the best goal difference. I’ll take that.

He set us up to be hard to beat but the 3 plodders in the middle were clearly out of their depth, even City's flair players like the 2 Silva's were beating them to loose balls. Credit to City they were up for it and they wanted it more.
Reminded me of the CL final in many ways, the game was just too big for a few of them, we were misplacing passes and shanking clearances right from the off. Very sloppy.

It was always going to be tough against the mighty City at the Etihad. City were overall the better side and dominated our middle and the right side. Gutted we lost our unbeaten record however we stay positive and move on. We are still 4 points clear of them. Now it is crucial we raise our game and bounce back whoever we play next in the Epl.
