Yep, that's harsh on us. I'm sure had that been Podolski a penalty would have been given.

Downing coming on... for Sterling? Even he may do a better job in the centre than Gerrard.

I wouldn't have minded if Downing came on for Enrique.  He's been really poor today.

Our squad is so f*cking thin we depend on downing to change things..

I wouldn't go that far, he does still have quality in his armoury, you've just got to look back to the Euro's in the summer, but he needs to be made to work for the team as he just looks like he's going through the motions at the minute.

Suarez has no confidence today.  He hasn't played well and it's easy to see it's gone to his head because he hesitates every time he gets the ball whether he should turn and attack hard or look to pass, and he gets caught in no-mans land.
