Liverpool V Borussia Dortmund - Europa 2nd leg - Thur 14

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Never experienced anything like that last night. Atmosphere in Anfield was special and the scenes when Lovren scored just something else. I was hugging people all around me I didn't know and I've lost my voice I was singing so much.

This is the best hangover I've ever had. I'm not even depressed at having to work this weekend.

Thought Origi was fantastic, Lovren too.

There is nothing better than this club. YNWA.

This is the first time of the current Liverpool team to show excellent character to put LFC on glory map.
After a very shaky back stepping start due to bad defensive mistakes which it might cost us in future, the players have managed to start to turn the tie around starting with star performance of Origi who has inspired the whole team.

Origi was outstanding, for a tall lad he has got great feet and probably even more impressive was his composure, he looked completely at home out there amid the bright lights of an epic European encounter which is remarkable given he's only 20.
Looking at last nights game you'd swear he was one of our 'go to' men like Coutinho or Sturridge not a rookie with only a handful of starts to his name.

This game was a good advert to the Dortmund players who may be re-considering their futures.

Don't mess with the Klopp. He managed to beat the team full of world class players with a bunch of unpredictable misfits.

What could he do when he rebuilds the squad?

Agreed, there's no reason why any player wouldn't want to come to Anfield now, that game is the talk of Europe.

Hopefully our sponsors and potential sponsors watched as well....

Liverpool hit with another UEFA charge after Dortmund win

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/fo ... e-11200730

Liverpool have been hit with yet another UEFA charge following their dramatic Europa League quarter-final triumph over Borussia Dortmund.

The Reds face punishment after a flare was thrown on to the field during their thrilling fightback against the Bundesliga outfit at Anfield.

UEFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against the club over “the setting off of fireworks” and the charges are stacking up for Liverpool.

After last month's last 16 tie with rivals Manchester United, the Reds were hit with five charges: illicit chants, setting off of fireworks, throwing of objects, crowd disturbances and a late kick-off.

Liverpool issued a statement saying they would “address the issues with UEFA”.

The club also publicly urged supporters to refrain from using flares prior to both legs of the quarter-final against Dortmund but the problem has persisted.

A flare was let off in the away end at the Westfalenstadion after Divock Origi scored in Germany and UEFA responded by charging Liverpool again.

Now they have done the same after a flare was thrown from the Kop during the second leg.

All seven charges against Liverpool will be dealt with by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on May 19 – the day after the final in Basel.

Just a real shame that Liverpool football club, similar to all other football clubs, has a minority element of complete and utter morons. It takes a very special kind of knob to light a flare and throw it on the pitch!  No doubt that same knob can also be found  making illicit chants. Whatever you think of UEFA they cannot be blamed for the existence of these
brain dead individuals!

On the subject of the wonderful UEFA Dev mate, they have just announced that if we do reach the final, we will be allocated a mere 9,000 tickets  :censored:

The ground only holds 37500 people. 25% of the tickets to each finalist is not unusual.  Probably doesn't make it right but it's not unusual. There was a ballot for final tickets not long ago, so quite a few of the tickets will have been sold to people that don't support either team. No wonder there is such a large black market. UEFA are only interested in money!!

A person was lucky and bet 5 quids on 4-3 before the game and Lovren as the last scorer. Odds 5800
