CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL 2018  LIVERPOOL V REAL MADRID

Squad depth or lack of it needs to be addressed in the summer, a new keeper and proper cover for our forwards. You onlyhadto look at our bench, two of the players are just back from injury, 1 was a striker who has scored only once this season, a LB that is a disaster in big games and another calamity keeper

Madrid are a quality side. Congrats to them.

Very proud of the side and of how far they got in the competition, shame the final had to play out the way it did but that's football.

Karius, YNWA.

Karius probably had the worst game any keeper has had in CL history but blaming it all on him is a bit of a cop out.
Truth is that Madrids midfield played our midfield off the park, Henderson and Milner were completely anonymous, Gini did try but he kept on running down blind alleys. Bobby was quiet tonight and Lallana has always flattered to deceive. We've seen it all season that when one of our front three goes off we just don't look the same.
That's the type of game where we missed Coutinho, we just didn't have enough quality.

Lost Salah then Karius throws two in his own net, an absolute embarrassment of epic proportions akin to the Gerrard slip.

Klopp hasnt made many mistakes but his blind faith in Karius has come back to haunt him, no way he can play for the club again after that.

When we lose we do it with style, sublime to the utterly ridiculous. A team that can flip between the harlem globetrotters and laurely and hardy in a heartbeat.

Im fuming with Karius, so casual and lacking professionalism, just tear up his contract in the changing rooms.

That was, in the grand scheme of things psychological, if the players/team cannot get over that bridge which they didn't (baring Mane), then, well.... you won;t win much.

Love Klopp tho' didn't deserve this.

We've seen it all season though Ken, when any one of those front 3 are missing our attack just doesn't function the same. The likes of Solanke, Ings, Lallana etc just aren't good enough to step into the breach.

Gutted.

Salah going off was a setback, BUT the boys had to step up on the night. Our midfield looked wafer thin in terms of quality, no chances for Firmino and Mane.

I did not think Madrid were that great, but our dipsh*t goalkeeper cost us two goals by not concentrating on what he was doing.

We are strong enough to come back next season, for sure.

But Karius needs knee-capping for that debacle, not sacking.

Fcking tool.

Yes but you could see it in the entire team. No belief after Salah went out.
The back four did their job, but the rest of the team didnt.

Its really unfair to blame this all on Karius as bad as he was.

Real beat us with the quality of their players. They spread the field by spacing very wide. Our players are no match for real players when it comes to one on one. You often see alot of time and space on Real's players. Their players have better control and passing. We rely on group hunting of the ball. With real's tactics, the field was too big and we tired towards the end. It too out our attacking threat. Must give credit to Zidane on using this tactic.

I'm soo depressed, dejected and just lost. I don't even know what to type anymore. Ffs

Anyhow about the game we weee better than them for 25 mins and imo Salah getting injured changed eveything. The fluency in attack was gone and Real looked comfortable after that.
Karius screwed us over bigtime and this just is proof enough we need a keeper. All season we've been chopping and changing between Mignoel and Karius.

Another final lost it feels soo shyte.
