yeah mick just checked it a bit more closely - he scored 11 in 31 games in the season they stayed up mainly coming off the bench and then only managed one more the season afterwards . he also managed one in a season with derby but his international record is pretty good and scored against some big teams as well .

I have just been reading that Milan have bid £30million for Fabregas. I would definately blow the whole £30mill we got for Alonso to get Fabregas, and make do and mend elsewhere. Fabregas would be ideal for us, creative, scores goals and can also help dictate tempo and keep possession. 

£20million for Aquilani or £30million for Fabregas....... I know which I would chose

I've said it a couple of times, if we had Fabregas we'd win the league. He's a fantastic little player, and he would fill the hole left in our midfield absolutely perfectly. Feck me with him joining up with Gerrard and Torres, leaving Mash to do the monster mop up, we'd eat teams for breakfast. I've really rated him for years, at 30 million he would be a steal IMHO if that's what we got for Xabi.

Aquilani is a talented fella...but would hardly play 20 games a season.. so coughin up 20 million on him, not at all gud..instead buy a fabregas would be double blow because -anal would get ripped and we would rock

Hell no. Nice idea though. The echo is saying Aquilani will undergo a stringent medical to prove his fitness. Looks like we are signing the Italian Harry Kewell.

Kewell would be tasty but there is absolutely no way Arsenal would sell him to us so its best for that speculation to be knocked on the head before we get too excited by the prospect of a Fabregas, Gerrard and Torres partnership.
