/close thread.

I though Nostradamous main prediction that the world came to an end in 2000 was bolox..........

It's actually 2012 but it's a mis-translation it is not the end of the world but rather a massive change in awareness and consciousness.

So all will be revealed at twelve minutes past eight?
Cant wait...

The only thing Torres has to watch out for is Vidic and Ferdinand winding him up.They would of seen how frustrated Torres has looked of late and it will be part of the plan to unsettle him.

Can he do it?

Yes

Will he do it?

Probably

What people need to be more concerned about is how we fair in the summer in terms of bringing other quality players in around him. That is if we want to be asking a question like the thread starter again this time next season..

Poll to be closed soon  :)

In fact if he stays fit we should be asking if he can go for a 1 goal/match ratio  :buttrock

For me he is 3rd best player in the World.

The only reason he isnt first is because Messi + Ronaldo edge it because they can take freekicks and they play in teams with other class players around them.

messi and ronaldo are just freaks

they dont even play as striker and both score the amount of goals any striker would envy

torres is probaly 3rd but his goal record for spain is terrible so maybe not

i think you would have to be a bit crazy or a severe pessimist to bet against him bagging 20 in the league now. especially considering some of the opposition we have coming up. then again, we have to cross our fingers that the team is set up to give him a decent supply of course.

Spain play a slow game (as do La Liga teams) which doesn't suit Torres. They try to walk the ball in, play is congested and there isn't the same space to move/run onto through balls. He tore R.Madrid to shreds at Anfield that he never did when he was at Atletico... his game was made for the English tempo.

His winner for Spain in Euro 2008 was the kind of goal he scores in England... through ball from midfield where he then roasts the defender and dinks it over the keeper.

His game is all about pace... pace, movement, body swerve and skinning defenders so they cant block shots.. and his finishing is clinical.
