I will enjoy watching him this season and he could be the reason why we retain our title, looks class. I thought he over stretched for a tackle a couple of times but his passing and positional awareness was outstanding. He will transform our midfield and probably the way we play.

He moves the ball so quick and sees passes other players don't see. A few players were caught off guard with a few of them and failed to control the ball. I'm sure once the players know his game we'll take our game to another level.

Thats what we noticed, how he's planned his pass before he receives it and his distribution is so fast. He increased the tempo of the game and allowed the front 3 to focus on getting in positions instead of wondering where the ball is going to come from. Brilliant.  :buttrock

From Liverpool FC (tv).
All Alcantara's touches v Chelsea

No Hollywood balls, just eased himself into the game with some occasional nice touches.
Would add that tackling doesn't seem to be his strong point, made about 6 or 7 think he won just one (?) but gave away a penalty and two free kicks.

Read today he's a doubt for the match on Monday. Anyone know the reason why? It's not as if he's had a tough couple of games so far...

Hope he gets well soon and no one else comes down with it.

Hopefully he should be back and running soon. So possible he will miss a couple of games.
