Tevez is only a loan player, maybe some of the ancient "traditional" supporters who scream "Never a ManU player at Anfield" should realise that Tevez has never said a bad word against us,is best frinds with Mascher(Damn you Mascher for being friends with a ManU player) and had his representatives in Liverpool last week wondering what our actual offer might be.

i`d take tevez, every day, every week and every season for the next ten seasons(we win the league).

I agree totally. Tevez will be that extra punch up front we've been looking for. Experience in the league, workhorse-like attitude, more than decent skills on the ball plus an already established friendship with Mascherano and in future Insua (the Argentinian connection).

I really can't think of anyone better... maybe Messi??  :D

But the mother of all attracting factors is the fact that getting him will be a f*%king big tight slap on the face of Manure  :buttrock

One of the new breed ,we ancient  "traditionalists"  you show such apparent contempt towards ,are of the considered opinion that your emphasis on the win at all cost mentality is currently destroying this once beautiful game ......

I think maybe more respect should be shown to the diehard fans that supported Liverpool home and away through our glorious past ,and the traditions and code that they passed down from father to son should be proffered a tad more respect ...

This could escalate into a row I`m not prepared to get into.Traditions are fine but the one that says we should never buy a ManU player sounds like cutting off our noses to spite our faces.reply if you want to but I`m not getting into this. You know my stance on this and I know yours.Enough said.

Bring in Tevez, Silva, Barry and a CB (depending on who goes down maybe Wheater or Taylor) with the likes of Babel, Dossena, Degen, Pennant etc etc going out and we are in great shape going into next season.

you reckon...?

We have been pretty hopeless in the past few years at getting the deals done.  Parry always got the blame so it will be interesting to see what happens this year.

Problem will be, if we have to sell to buy, other clubs will know this and hold us to ransom with rediculously low prices knowing they will be stopping us from buying anyone..

I see it as another frustrating close season..

I agree it will be very interesting t see whether it really was Parry that was the problem or whether Rafa now start blaming someone else. I'd prefer the outcome that Rafa gets exactly who he wants and that they all work out.

I think I am correct in saying that part of rafa's contract negotiations was a clause giving him ultimate control over transfer dealings?

Hence my comments that he'll look to move and move quickly to get who he wants.

Yeah but that doesnt include the other club having to agree as soon as Rafa gives them a barry.

I'd have Tevez at Anfield without a doubt.  He's a quality player with the attributes we value and I think he would slot well into our set up.  I think a lot of people feel the same and I don't think that makes us sell-outs or lesser supporters.  Perhaps it just makes us pragmatic? ???  I can understand why some would balk at the idea of an ex-Manc playing for us but, in the case of Tevez, I can't agree.

Wow you don't give up easily do you?

What are you after a public and formal letter of apology or something or do you secretly just wish someone actually agrees with your nonsense blinkered views which stand in the way of us getting a fantastic striker whilst at the same time flicking a huge V sign in the direction of Old Trafford and in particular Fergie.

the tevez story has picked up pace big time,   the way rafa is saying we could break our transfer record,  makes the whole thing believable,   the big difference this summer is that rafa has the power now on  transfers...   watch this space...  :;):
