See Nan I wouldn't even take a casual stroll past The Lisbon on a dark night ... let alone promise to run through the Bar clad only in a pair of Speedo's if I was any less than a 100% right ... All bets are off Girl ...Torres is an adopted Scouser :D

Delighted at the news, with the signing of Cole there was a good feeling around the club for the first time in a while and if Nando had left there would have been a lot more doom and gloom

Really looking forward to the start of the season now

We've lost Benayoun, a player who has wanted away for a while, and gained Joe Cole who's a far better player. We've also gained 6 million quid, which hopefully we will spend on a good left back (my own preference is for Figuroa).

We've lost Riera, who I quite liked but was a bit of a ponce and whose head was far too square for his own good. We banked a bit of cash as well. We look like getting 5 mill for Insua which is top dollar, and we've invested it in this Danny Wilson kid, and we have a bit of change out of the whole proceedings. We've told Deggen to find a new club, we're thinking about doing the same witht he Greek and Maxi. No probs from me with any of that.

We're selling Masherano who I think is a disruptive influence. Hopefully we'll get top dollar and we can buy some players who actually want to play for us.

We've kept our best two players despite many predictions to the contrary.

Well done Roy, keep up the good work :buttrock .

cant really see how u can say keep up the good work when all were doing is selling players at the moment. Like you i think the money we have earnt has been pretty good for except for Riera but weve only had 2 come in, and weve hardly been linked with anyone else to come in. Im quite worried by the whole situation to be honest, it looks like we could be starting the season with a dangerously small squad

It was never in doubt mate that he would stay ,the Boy loves the club and its fans and I am well pleased he has made this official
The Daily Mail still wont believe it though

I am starting to get a really fresh feeling about this season one  that I haven't felt since Benitez first took the reins
and even more good news was the Manager said Today in his Press Conference He plans several more signings  :D

This is my worry aswell , they are selling players left right and centre ,but not replacing them . The main players are staying accept for mascherano , but we do need quality to come in . I don't want anyone to lose sight of the fact that the clubs debts still have to be paid .

Why was Hodgson quoted at the weekend suggesting that "he could do no more to persuade Torres to stay" which precipitated most of the weekend speculation about Torres leaving if all along Torres had told Hodgson that he was looking forward to returning to training. One can only conclude that Purslow pushed Hodgson into making the statement at the weekend to crank up the pressure on the player so that it could all be dumbed down a few days later. This comes back to the Americans again I think they'd take £50 million tomorrow if City or Chelski offered it for Torres. I don't think the Torres thing is over not by a long way.

I dont see where the confirmation of him staying is.  From what I read its not exactly a statement from the player saying i'm 100% staying at Liverpool.

Do you stir sh!t for a living?

Where in any news report or quote did it say that Torres was looking forward to returning to training at the same time as Hodgsons comments saying he could do no more to keep him?

Nowhere you numpty. For we know Torres' comment referring to training could of been made yesterday

Hmm, so last week when Spain won the World Cup for the first time in their history, one of the first things Torres thinks about doing is don a Liverpool scarve and have his picture taken in the dressing room with the trophy itself. Not a Spain scarve or flag. A LFC scarve. Very insensitive of you, Torres!

For me, that jesture says everything there is to know on what his intentions are. He wants to stay here. It's really all down to how the clowns on our board handle him, and if Fernando wanted to leave, it would have nothing to do with CL football and more to do with the club's aspirations and ambitions. How does a club show it's ambition? Why, by signing world class players, of course.

Red I don't for one minute believe that Nando couldn't have come out and squashed these rumours in a minute, and even though I'm over the moon that RH has now come out with positive news about him, I just feel all this 'will he wont he' has been unnecessary.
That said, I cant wait to see Nando running out for us again this season

Wasn't the manager different class putting Masch right in his place  :D
