Because as I have already said ......I DIDN'T WATCH THE FECKING ENGLAND GAME, I have no idea how he played. I didn't watch the Spain game either, want me to say how well Torres played in that too?

I watch Liverpool games, and for me Gerrard has been below his best because he is carrying an injury.

I can't really comment on games I haven't seen

So that excuses his lack of effort at times and his sulking in a liverpool shirt does it ?

HOW CAN YOU SAY LACK OF EFFORT IF HE IS INJURED ? How the feck do you know how much pain, discomfort and restriction of movement he is feeling ?

If you got shot in the leg and then were asked to run to the next command post, maybe you would be moaning a little by the time you arrived, especially if you knew that no matter what you did it would be a wasted fecking journey as the war was already lost.

OK WILL USE CAPS THEN AS IT SEEMS THE NORM

QUICK QUESTION

HOW THE F.UCK CAN HIS INJURY NOT BE EFFECTING HIS FORM OR HIS EFFORT WHEN HE PLAYED FOR ENGLAND RECENTLY YET ONCE HE PULLED A LIVERPOOL SHIRT ON HIS FORM IS POOR AND IS EFFORT IS NOT THERE DURING THE NEXT GAME FOR LIVERPOOL

Oh you are GYBS, I have no doubt of it now. You argue in exactly the same blinkered and childlike fashion, refusing to respond properly to posts or accept that people have differing views. The new addition to your repertoire are the cheap insults.

In my opinion Stevie is putting in the effort because he is injured so not at 100%. I didn't see the England game so can't comment but I imagine he was having to play with :censored: players like Kuyt, Rodriguez, Eggnog, Lucas etc. Maybe that put him in a better mood and helped his game somewhat.

So its ok for him to put in 100% effort for england becuase he has better players around him ?

Oh FFS GYBS please read the posts form me and S@int. We both, and apologies if I am misrepresenting you S@int, think that Stevie IS putting in the effort for Liverpool, that is where we disagree with you. IN our opinion he is p1ssed off with the state of the club and also injured.
But just in case he did play better for England, maybe he was more motivated or maybe his injury felt a bit better in that game. I don't really know but in my opinion he is a fantastic player and deserves the respect of every single Liverpool fan becuase without him we would not have the CL in 2005 and neither the FA Cup, in short without Stevie G we would be a crappy mid-league team.

In my opinion I would say that out of Torres and Stevie it is Torres who looks like he doesn't care at times this season, his attitude this season has been very bad. The bottom line is that both Stevie and Nando are p1ssed off with Rafa and the complete rubbish they have to play alongside week in week out and I don't blame them one bit. As for effort I think Stevie is still working hard which is all credit to him, many players would have thrown in the towel a long time ago.

No issues with Gerrard at all - actually met him a number of times over the last couple of years

You have no idea at all if Torres and Gerrard are pi.ssed off with Rafa - not the first clue - no one does nor do you know he is pis.ssed off with his teammates

And even if he was once he pulls that shirt on he should be putting him 100% effort for the club and fans that helped him get where he is now and pay his massive wages and idolise him - they expect the players to leave it all out on the pitch and show they deserve the songs being sung about them .

Well lets just say gerrard in the england game was all over the place putting his heart and soul into the game - showing no effects of any injury and playing his best football of the season during most of the match and being the best player in an england shirt - why can he put that effort in for England and not for Liverpool

Apologies for not seeing that you said you didnt see the england game

So the question i posed was why does the injury effect him when playing for liverpool yet seem to have no effect when playing for england

There was more than gerrard that helped us win the CL in 05 and FA Cup in 06 . Other people deserve just as much credit . He didnt win it all on his own .

what kind of madman allows his players to play when injured though?

he aint injured, he aint having pain injections (ok you do that maybe once or twice to get through important games) but not all season

thats all madness

hes just lost heart at liverpool f.c and also hes lost a bit of pace too, hes clearly slower these days

he clearly gave 100% for england in recent games, was just poor thats all.

Well i can only judge what i see on the pitch saint and i have seen numerous occasions when he has either misplaced a pass and then just stood there head down or when he has tried to take someone on and they have easily robbed him of the ball and he just stood there doing nothing to try and get it back for us - im sorry but i have seen him sweat blood and tears and work his a.rse of for years and put in 100% every game for us for many years yet i havent seen it enough this season .

Maybe he had a good rest before the England game? Maybe he has just played 3 games in a short space of time. Maybe he was asked to play a different role for England that didn't ask him to do the impossible.

I don't know , I am neither the manager , the physio or a close friend of Gerrard, what I do know is its very difficult to play as well as Gerrard does when fit...... impossible when injured.
