Sergio aguero - Would like to play for liverpool

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Red @ Heart » Sat Mar 25, 2006 3:15 am

I was watching football on channel 5 last night in work and they were showing the south american version of the champions league and this kid from independiente f.c,  Sergio Aguero was being interviewed, he is only 17 and is worth 20 mil euros, when they were showing highlights of this kid the goals he was scoring were out of this world, he looks real good, fast as hell, Apparantly he is the next best thing to come from Arentina since Maradona, and will be going to germany this summer.

Anyway as usual the Spanish top clubs are watching him and could move for him during the summer transfer window, But the point im making is when the interviewer asked him about this he said "I would prefer to play in England, i want to play for a Great team like Liverpool and chelsea" now if i was benitez i would send a coach to Independiente and have a good look at him, they said he is worth around 20 mil euros which is about 15 or 16 mil pounds.

in my view why not purchase a kid for that value.?

heres some footafe of him.

Thats right he is only 17.

The bend he gets on the ball is unreal!
On this evidence, he'd make Spooney look 3rd rate!

top class....the way he run and dribble remind me of potatoes face. He used his brain when playing football, not like one of our striker.

We will have scouts out there ace , i think Palleta was scouted  in Argentina ,so Rafa should be well informed about the lad.

I would imagine that if hes going to the WC and performs well his price would rocket so anyone interested would be better of trying to get him on board before the world cup.

Some of those goals were unreal, he does look a quick, intelligent skillful player but £15mill is one hell of a punt on youngster unproven at the very highest level.

forget it!!!!

Rafa will not spend that much on a player as it will take up his whole budget

What a crying shame that Houllier was given all that money to waste

He certainly looks like a superb player but with these compilations, caution is best employed I think. Like trailers for movies, they can make the biggest heap of sh!te look good but I have to say in the case of this kid, he can certainly play. Whether or not he is worth 15 million quid is for others to judge but he is obviously going to be a top player.

Agree with u there mick, anybody can compile a tape of goals, for instance someone could make a clip of all of neil mellors goals for liverpool and stick in a good tune and he wud look top class! but thats not to say this kid cant play, he does have some skills, but rafa wont have 15 mill to spend on a kid, i wud love if he did cos think we are missin out on players such as messi when they are comin through and are fairly cheap compared to what they will be worth! hopefully paletta and gonzales will come good in the summer though when they join up with the squad! our younger players such as hobbs, barragan, roque, hammill and anderson are all coming along nicely though and playing some good stuff!
