Greavesie wrote:hmmm that photo of Hodgson means nothing? so in response you post pics of Rafa with Fergie...surely you do see something in the pictures then...?

anyway...my take...pictures of Rafa and Fergie on the sidelines of a football pitch and a picture of Roy sitting with Fergie in stands are two different things, surely anybody can see that? Not that a pic of Roy and Fergie changes my opinion of Roy but there is a difference in the pictures posted

Is there a serious point to all this because if there is Im missing it?
???

SCS says he doesnt see any problem in the pics. BUT in response to the pic of Roy with Fergie he posted up pics of Rafa with Fergie

My point is, and I made the same point yesterday, why does a criticism of Roy automatically provoke some nobber to have a pop at Rafa as a means of defence. Thats my point really. See it now?

Yes I do
This is one of the biggest problems on here that when people use childish methods of criticising Hodgson, there are those only too willing to use the same methods to criticise Benitez
It would be better if people stopped clutching at straws to slag Roy off?

look, you say people use childish methods to criticise Hodgson, the responses from those who defend Roy is to attack Rafa. You seem to have failed to vindicate those whose only response is to snipe Rafa...

Surely that's childish as well?

Read my post again
The answer is in there

aye a na. Read it again. My bad :D

It's just been incredibly frustrating lately. It's just the same debates being had over and over. Its like whatever Roys done Rafa did so you cant criticise Roy for it so lets just continue comparing the two
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

the usual suspects won't let it happen mate. Roy's now a bad man because he's mates with Whiskey Nose...its lost on these people that Shanks and Matt Busby were close friends...in fact Shanks said "Busby was the greatest football manager ever"

So...lets attack him!

and before anyone starts, i'm not comparing Shanks to Hodgson, i'm merely pointing out that some rival managers are good friends. It's part and parcel of the game and has been so for donkey's years.

Lets face facts here ...the posters who believed the current manager would take us forward .....were irrefutably ,incontrovertibly ,entirely , comprehensively ...100 % .... WRONG ..... now that's got to hurt ?  so lets allow them a chance to strike out ... whilst they dispel all that pent up frustration in a tirade against Benitez   :D

I will just give them some space to vent ,and turn the other cheek  ..... a magnanimous gesture I'm sure you will agree ?

I would say all managers have mutual respect for each other and some are even friends.

stop posting pictures and b0ll0cks lad, that's all we ask.

Roy wasn't anyone's first choice, but Rafa had to go. Look at Inter and see the mess he made of it there...we were right.

We took a punt on the LMA Manager of the year, and it hasn't worked out. I just hope our next manager gets the time and respect that hasn't been afforded to our current boss.

There is usually some heated exchanges between the managers of the top 4 clubs. Fergie usually talks negatively about anyone he thinks can threaten his next league title.

But as you say that does not mean they dont respect eachother.

I think thats where the anti-Roys have got it wrong
I for one never thought of Hodgson as a great manager who would bring back the glory days. A steady, experienced hand to put us on an even keel was more like it to me.
I believe under the circumstances he has done a decent job, Not good. Definitely not great. We lie in 9th and its not beyond the realms of possibility that we will finish higher than last season. All the outrage and hysteria have distracted us from what his job was supposed to be and maybe with more support from the players and the fans we would have been higher.
If he stays until the end of the season and we do finish higher than 7th, will all those against him give him credit for being better than Benitez?

When the manager is no longer making us suffer his ineptitude then yes I will quell my pursuit ... until then I will continue to make public his every indiscretion ...as a supposed journalist you should respect such dedication  in cornering the Kill   :D

I review cars lad, so the only cornering i do is on a test track or public road. But i am sure your ramblings on an internet forum are cornering Roy

Maybe you can explain in detail why Roy being friends with a rivals manager is such a crime? Bear in mind Shanks and Busby were close friends when posting your answer. thanks.

If we beat Blackburn, Blackpool, Everton, Wolves and Fulham in the next few weeks and keep winning after that then Hodgson may be safe until the summer but if we only win two of those games I think he'll be gone fairly soon.
