I got that sh!t for years, "have faith" or "believe, believe, believe" depending on who was posting it. Clearly if you didn't think Roy was up to the job in the first place, you won't have seen much so far to make you alter your point of view, that much is a given. So I'm not going to waste my time to time telling people to have faith or to believe, it's pointless.
That said, once you've made clear the fact that you didn't/don't think Roy is up to the job, you might as well sit back at that point and see what happens rather than getting yourself all in a tizz because we lost 3-2 at Old Trafford. Reminding people every day that you never wanted to get rid of the previous manager in the first place, or you never wanted this one is utterly pointless it seems to me.
The press and media are now predictably rounding on our club, the feeding frenzy has begun and to my mind it's high time Liverpool supporters actually closed ranks and got in behind the team and manager. If when push comes to shove Roy isn't up to it, then fair enough, but I'd much prefer it if we as a club make a call rather than SKY TV, and that we do it in our own time as well.
Roy is a gentleman, a football man and he deserves respect from Liverpool fans while he is the Liverpool manager. All this Woy nonsense was only the start it seems.
I know the crowd have a point to make on Saturday and fair enough. I really hope thoughj that when the time comes they make it known in no uncertain terms that they are fully behind the players AND manager. The time has come to put all pettiness aside.

Agree on most of that mick , but the protest on saturday is long over due and that's more important than roy or the team imo . Roy will have to wait i'm afraid until we get rid of the real problem at our club .

I know it's not particularly important, but whilst Benitez was frustrating in repeating himself at least he spoke like the manager of a big club. Roy still sounds like Fulham manager saying 'I hope we play our best, whether that is good enough to beat United is another matter' etc

A few points.
1. Roy succeeding. Mick is absolutely right:
"Yes we aren't playing well, yes yesterday was a disaster, and yes we are all twitchy. I'll tell you this though, the media are feeding off the forums, hoping we'll become another Newcastle. Not only that, but ironically if Roy fails it will enable them to have another go at Benitez, say he left behind a load of sh!t etc etc. Others can please themselves, but I'm not buying into it. We have been poor for a long time and it's Roy's job to try and change it. Of course I'm concerned that when push comes to shove he might not be up to it, but he deserves a chance to give it a go. Five league matches is not a chance, it's not even a snapshot. We aren't Newcastle and we don't get rid of managers after a few matches. If we go down that route then we really are fecked. Those who keep going on about his deficiencies and giving him til xmas have lost the plot. If he goes at xmas then we are well and truly fu'cked because there is NO-ONE of any stature who will take on such a poison chalice."
Be careful what you wish for...(Mon my ar'se!)
2. What Roy knew. I dont agree with Nan:
"He knew what hes was getting into , he knew what he was taking on before he came here "
Its one thing hearing about whats gone on in a club. Its quite another to actually be in there and find out the true extent of whats gone on. Roy may well have had some knowledge but he has only truly found out by being there. And to be honest I think hes sh'it himself when hes seen the state were in. He probably thought he had to clmb Ben Nevis but hes now realised its Everest.
3. What he needs to do. I agree with Barrett, especially:
"Make more positive public pronouncements"
Roy has got to take he bull by the horns and come out fighting. The players are on the floor confidence-wise and with no natural leader they need the Manager to tell them, and the world, that we are up for the fight. He now has to accept he has got the hardest job in football, roll his sleeves up and start swinging.
The negativity of certain supporters will, ironically be one of the hardest battles he has. They can help by stopping the constant whinging and by backing him and he can do his part by proving them wrong.
Were in this together guys. For better or worse, richer or poorer, till death do we part.
Otherwise its "Come on the Toon..."
