I really really hope a Fowler, Owen, Mcmanaman, Gerrard or Carra type might come out from our academy, it's been long overdue

Let's hope this Mclaughlin fella who everyone really rates get a nod some day

Teixeira makes it 5-0 against Spudz U21's with his first touch ,Cissokho and McLaughlin have been class and so has Brad Smith in his first game since
his injury .....Yesil just hit the post after a gorgeous ball from the returning Teixeira.

Good to see Cissokho playing again. Also, McLaughlin really deserves a chance with the first team.

They're labelling this kid as the new Bale .....Just been called up for the senior Wales squad at the age of 16 .

I hate it when we label players as the next ''bale'' or ''gerrard'' or whatever, it just gives me false hopes

Plays for the U18s so don't know much about him. He's only made 1 sub appearance for the U21s so can't be that far along. Called up by Wales to wade of interest from England youth teams apparently.

Why are we letting the likes of Adam Morgan go on a free transfer when he has been free scoring in the reserve? Have I missed something?

thats it in a nutshell really, he knows where the net is but his game lacks that X factor that you need to consistently trouble the top defenders.
borini is cut from the same cloth imo.

Nar, Morgan knows where the net is at least.

Not sure Borini gets the objective of the game yet...

We paid good money for the likes of Borini and Aspas yet are giving away a player such as Morgan who have been doing well in the reserve for a couple of years now. If the club consider Morgan to not be good enough and we have better players coming up, then fair enough as I have not much chance to see him work on a daily basis, but then surely Borini and Aspas should be treated no differently or is it just because we shelled out good money for them? Not getting it??

wtf??? Can only say I'm shocked by the direction of this club is taking with regards to bringing young talent to the first team

that seems to be a bit drastic, especially a third of the way into the season.
something must have gone on there.

edit - just read over on rawk that they might have been talking to man city about a possible move there, dont know how true that is like.
